The restaurant was recommended by friends and the hotel booked for us - we were only able to get an table indoors but as it was raining, we were quite glad. The inside has bright lighting and a high turnover of tables but was adequate for such a late booking. I had to wonder what so many people were doing eating out in Windhoek on a Thursday evening, especially as most of them seemed to be locals.
The starters were underwhelming - strange combinations of flavours, but the main course of lamb cutlets with roasted beetroot and butternut was excellent. The smashed potatoes were just potato wedges but nicely cooked and seasoned.
Service was so quick it was a bit disconcerting. We had asked our taxi to return in 2 hours and were done long before the time was up. I did feel a bit rushed but the pleasant waitron assured us we were welcome to stay longer at our table.
A pleasant experience on the whole and I would like to return during the day time when the wine shop and deli are open.
