“Great coctails and lovely food. Good vibe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2012

Fun place with excellent service. Coctails are amazing and the atmosphere is lively. Service has always been very good every time I've been there.

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

Average spot for everyone to come have a smoke. Drink an overpriced beer and get service that warrants an arrest!

“If you want a quick pizza fine, anything more - go somewhere else”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2011

This is a South African chain place that pops up in malls all over the place. The walls are covered in socialist style slogans representing the waiting staff extolling the virtues of working hard and team work etc which are a little ironical in an enterprise that exists very much for the benefit of the stockholders (whoever they are).

However, the place IS staffed by an army of keen young 'waitrons' who project the Primi Piatti staff style (appearance of rapid efficiency) and who make sure that everything is ok by asking you whether it is every 10 minutes or so which grates after a while.

I have been there a few times and can say that the pizza menu is fine.

I made the mistake of ordering "tender Karoo raised lamb chops" (or words to that effect) the other day and was dished up this plate of hideous meat that had been hacked from some geriatric beast that would have blushed to have been described as a lamb 7 or 8 years ago let alone at the end of last year. I could not cut it at all and began to feel like Hunca Munca in Beatrix Potter's Tale of Two Bad Mice. At least I didn't end up hurling it to the floor (though I felt like it).

When the inedible state of this "lamb" was pointed out to the waitron I received shifty smiles but no response. I also received a bill for this tragic dish (about US 16.50) which is a lot by Windhoek standards.

If you go there just stick to pizza

“nice pizza and pasta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2009

I went to this place to eat a pizza one evening and ended up going there 3 times in 2 weeks just to try different offerings in their menu.
My 2 friends also loved the place and the food.
Its a place with an open-airy look. So u don't feel stuffed inside a room.
The food is yum and that itself does for me.
We tried both vegetarian and beef, chicken pizzas and pastas.

Don't forget to have a shot of their espresso once you finish the dinner :)

“Nice version of the South African chain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2009

The Primi Piatti is attached to, but not directly accessible from, the Maurua Mall in Windhoek. It has the same menu as the South Africa chain. I had my favorite meal, the Pasta Primavera with sauted spinich and fresh tomatoes, and it was as good as I remembered it from Cape Town. The servers were very attentive. In Cape Town the chain promotes the fact that they hire and train servers from the disadvantaged community. I didn't see any signs indicating this here, but it was a faithful copy and very nicely laid out.
