“Sunset”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

The most Beautiful Sunsets were spent on this beach. Take a picnic, and deck chair and experience it. Take lots of photos. This is also a nice beach for surfing, or even paddling on a nice flat calm day.

“Once in a lifetime experience...must do!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

Simply put, swimming with spinner dolphins in their own habitat is an experience not to be missed. Catch the first boat at 7ish am and be prepared to see more than 30 dolphins swimming around you. If you are not afraid of swim in deep waters, I would recommend jumping in! If you see 7 dolphins close to the surface of the water, you will see 30 under you!! Bloody exciting and totally worth every penny you spend here. I highly recommend calling Mr. Ram at Dolswim, they were not only professional and reasonably priced but also very considerate to the dolphins. Watching a few other boats chasing dolphins made me a bit sad, kindly stay away from them. After swimming with the dolphins, we cruised around and watched the locals surf. Also did a bit of snorkeling closer to the bay. Hands down, best VFM activity and coolest experience of this trip for me.

“Dirty beaches”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

The beach in Tamarin Bay in front of the Tamarina Golf Hotel is filthy dirty and needs a good clean up by the Municipality. It is full of old seaweed and has a lot of growth on it. The river mouth is also a dirty sight at low tide with a lot of littler lying around. It is a health risk. One of the worst beaches in Mauritius.

“Nice daytrip!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

We visited the bay with one of the day trips you can book locally with any of the thousand travel agents. The visit of the bay includes pick up/drop off from/to the hotel, a full day of sailing on the catamaran in the bay (with unlimited alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks included) and free time on Ile au Benitier on the way back.

Dolphin spotting in Tamarin Bay is not guaranteed, and indeed we didn't see any :-( but the day was excellent anyhow. You get to see fantastic landscapes and spend the day in the sun. Even without the dolphin spotted I highly recommend this excursion!

“A bay with charm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Tamarin Bay is a nice lagoon offering fins sandy beaches although coral is still around. The waves are such making surfing possible and if you take a boat out you can catch schools of dolphin swimming about. Deep sea fishing is also possible and in the evening you might catch a beautiful sunset.

Its definitely worth a visit when going around the southern part of the island.
