This is a pretty good waterfall, with an impressive drop, but you can view it only from a distance. You are therefore deprived of the noise (always a great part of a worthwhile falls). There are two viewing points, one at the level of the car park and another from higher - up around 100 steps. This allows you to see more of the full drop of the falls.
Our map - a 2012 freebie one from some garage, provided by our hotel concierge - seemed to indicate that the Chamarel Falls and the Chamarel 7-coloured Earths were two separate locations on two different roads. This resulted in us taking a spurious trip up the wrong road. (If you drive past the Rum factory, you are on the wrong road.) Both the attractions are beyond a single pay-and-enter booth (125 MRs). You should follow signs to 'Chamarel 7-coloured Earths' to visit both of them. Note also that you must retain your entrance ticket on you or you will not be allowed to see the Earths site.
