I read the reviews and checked into the Mamba Point Hotel. I could not tolerate a room without a window, like another reviewer. So I checked out the Cape Hotel next door. For the same price as my crummy room at the Mamba Point, I got a beautiful refurbished suite at the Cape with an Ocean View. The room was new, extremely clean and beautiful. I found the restaurant very service oriented. After finding a few items too salty, I ordered my food without salt. The wait staff seemed to remember my preference and never salted my food again. When I complained about anything in the restaurant, the managers did everything possible to make up for any flaws -- bring me gratis tasty Middle Eastern Snacks, buy me dinner on departure. Without any hesitation whatsoever, I recommend the refurbished rooms at the Cape Hotel. I found them far superior to my room at Mamba Point.
