I am a Peace Corps Volunteer, so I have been living in Lesotho for almost a year. I've seen several examples of accomodation in Lesotho and Malealea was a great experience and hopefully can lead the way toward developing eco-tourism in Lesotho. My husband and I really appreciated the local staff and the extent to which we were made to feel welcome -they really went above and beyond! We went for a beautiful hike and the band and concert is not to be missed! Staying at Malealea is a great opportunity to see a traditional way of life and beautiful scenery while not missing out on comfort. The price is also very reasonable and accomodating to many budgets; also - we loved spending money there because we could feel really good about it! We really enjoyed the option of being able to self-cater or eat at the lodge. Getting there by public transport was not a problem from the Mafeteng Camp Town either. It was a great place to gather with other volunteers, it would be a great getaway as a couple and it was very family friendly. Don't miss this gem!
