we have travelled all over ghana during a 3 week trip and arrived and stayed our last night at dutchotel. this hotel is by far the best, the african atmosphere is hanging around the place, the most beautifull view of all hotels in ghana.

we also stayed on night a 5 star hotel in ghana but it did not even come close to dutchotel. We found out that it belonged to a dutch and his ghanean wife, who wanted to build the best and most affordable hotel of ghana. we think they have done a wunderfull job at (50 a night).

We ended up in dutchotel nshonaa, wich means beach, they told us, because of delayed flights with the sandstorms.
Because of that we found our homebase in Ghana, we have traveled for two weeks in expencive just o.k. hotels and in cheaper (not cheap) horrible hotels, Dutchotel was a paradise on the seaside.
Neat rooms, a always working airconditioner, fridge and beautifull vieuw from your balcony.
Although first we hated the idea of having to stay, Dutchotel make us enjoy Ghana like never before.

My husband and I stayed at the DutcHotel, Nshonaa between Accra and Tema at the beginning of October 2004.

It was a great hotel and very reasonably priced. Modern (opened one year ago), spotlessly clean with very friendly staff. All the large rooms have an ocean view. The food was good. Entertainment was provided on some nights in the form of local bands and on some nights there was a barbeque.

The staff were helpful and extremely polite and I would recommend this hotel.
