I visited Accra on business in July (2012) and was recommended this hotel by some acquaintances who live nearby. The staff were very polite and courteous, the room was spacious and clean. Despite not having a full blown restaurant, the breakfast was ample and delicious and snack were available at most hours. Additionally, at the front of the hotel is a bakery/patisserie which serves great sandwiches and pastries.
As a European, when travelling in Africa, security and cleanliness are one of the priorities. Esther's certainly offers both.
Prices, as all hotels in West Africa are quite expensive, but probably below par with the rest.
