“The best chicken”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

I love visiting Papaya. You can't visit Ghana without going to Papaya. They have the best chicken and rice. I never ate so much chicken and rice in my life. The staff is friendly and helpful. You get a lot of food for the price.

“BEST FRIED RICE AND CHICKEN IN TOWN”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

Dont go anywhere else in town for fried rice and chicken. Go Papayes. Their grilled chicken roasted are the BEST! No exaggeration here. Their quantity is good for 2 ppl to eat one meal.

“Fast food, not fast enough!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

Pack it high, serve it cheap! If you care for your dining experience fast or not, this not the most delightful experience. They deliver, your best option! Going there'll put you off the food!

“The McDonald's of Accra”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

Papaye is a typical fast food joint. The layout is a little bit confusing because the entire first floor is for take out only, and the chairs are only for people waiting for their to-go orders. If you want to eat-in, you have to go to the second floor, and you can't order from the counter. You need to sit down and hope a waitress comes to you. She probably won't, so you need to get her attention by calling, making noice, or doing the Ghanaian "kissing sound" to call her over.

The menu is smaller than you'd expect it to be, and they offer mostly chicken burgers, local chicken dishes, and a "beefburger with cheese" written just like that. If you order the "beefburger with cheese" the waitress will look at you weird, roll her eyes, and ask you if you want a cheeseburger. Just say yes.

The cheeseburger or whatever it was called was decent and only cost about $2, which is cheap for Accra. I had a good time at this funky place and enjoyed my burger.
