If the Brits had not invented pantomime, the Italians could have modelled one on Juventus - it is just outstanding enjoyment. The fresh bread and bruschetta are first class but do ask what is not on the menu that evening, or more exactly do ask what is on - it will save a lot of time in the long run!! But whatever is on is guranteed to be great, home-cooked Italian comfort food and one does not go home hungry. My personal favourites are the liver and onions and gnocci and gorgonzola. It is also one of the few places open on a Sunday night and with plenty of parking, attentive staff who will mix and muddle the menu for you if you are so inclined - as my wife always is - and senior Italians left over from yesteryear having a traditional bistro dinner, I find the atmosphere a great finish to a weekend. And it is stunning value to boot.
