Staying in a 3rd world country you always have to worry about what you are eating. Three of us ate at the Sheraton and all were horribly sick. I ate there at the very end of my month-long trip to Addis. The food that I ate at the orphanage was cleaner than the Sheraton. Just be careful..use the same precautions as you would anywhere else in Addis. Don't let the Sheraton name fool you, the food is still not safe for Americans. The hotel is absolutely beautiful though and the staff is excellent!!

I acctually lived in Ethiopia for most of my life. My parents are Americans who decided to work in Addis Ababa. I stayed at the Sheraton for almost a week for my friends birthday. We were delighted by the underwater speakers in the pool and the delicious dining that we were provided with! Also the great buffets that they had!There was great shopping too! The rooms were very clean and comfortable to stay in! They had good maid service every morning if you chose you wanted it they would make the beds straighten the rooms and clean the bathrooms. They also provided more soaps and shampoos,gave us clean towels, and filled our fridge. In my mind this was the perfect kind of hotel!!!

Ths hotel was great. The swimming pool was amazing with underwater speakers which delight the ear when swimmming. A excellent selection of dining areas located in the most luxurious surroundings serving cuisine from around the world including indian and french. A shopping arcade with high class products on sale and delightful staff . Its feels like you have walked into paradise. In my opinion o london or New York hotel can out do Ethiopia,AFRICAS, IN MY OPINION THE WORLDS MOST GREATEST HOTEL,

Hotel is very elegant and modern. The service was horriable. The room service specially was unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. We stayed for 4 days and were very disappointed. We complanied to the managers about the service but they didn't seem like they cared. I definetly don't recommand anyone to stay at sheraton. We checked out early and went to stay in Hilton, Addis. Hilton had 10 times better service than the sheraton for a 3 star hotel.
