I stayed here for seven nights whilst attending an international meeting, and so fortunately was not responsible for the costs. I believe that the exorbitant rates charged by the hotel outweigh any value that it offers, and is probably more for that class of traveller that subscribes to an over-bloated sense of elitism and wants to have as little contact with ordinary locals as possible.
Breakfast was extremely pricey with the full buffet being the only option even if all you had was coffee and a slice of toast.
On the plus side the hotel has a boutique, souvenir shop, four restaurants, bar with live music at night, (over)heated swimming pool, spa, large children's play area and grounds, effectively providing a nice little oasis for those wanting to be insulated from that fact Ethiopia surrounds you on all sides!
So with all of that it is quite shocking that this elite establishment does NOT offer a gym. Apparently upon request an exercise bicycle would be delivered to your room but this would definitely not be up to scratch for those wanting to maintain effective training regimes.
The location is not brilliant if you want to walk around on your for the purposes of sightseeing and so you would really need transport if you wanted go around on your own.
At these prices you would expect to at least get free wifi. Whereas all you get a is a measly 10MB in the FOYER per day. If you want internet in your room be prepared to pay. The signal was not strong enough though for my iPhone and I was forced to use my computer.

Thank you for the great feedback you have provided. This level of detail is important for us so we know exactly how we can improve for future experiences.
In the meantime, please allow us to address a couple of your concerns. Please know that in addition to the buffet breakfast, we do have al carte menus option to meet our guest needs and please accept our apology if this is not offered to you. As to the internet issue, it all dependence on what speed we are getting from the sole provider in the country and we know that they are working on it to give better service in the future.
We will certainly review the other issues you have mentioned to ensure the service will be to our standard.
