“Boma- go for the atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

I had dinner there on my trip to Victoria Falls. The atmosphere is fun, especially the drumming at the end. And it seems like every tourist in town ended up eating there. They do a good job with the drumming and welcoming you, but it is pricey and the food is buffet, with the meat cooked in front of you so you end up waiting in line as everyone eats at roughly the same time. It is worth a visit if you are in town.

“African meal adventure”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

Collected early evening from the Hotel , and on arrival were each given a shawl to put on to begin the adventure , participated in a little African dance with some of the staff before entering the actual restaurant ,
The setting is inside a very large thatched hut with the tables set around a central fire pit on which a goat was being cooked .
after a taste of some local delicacies and local "Chubuka" beer
We were able to help ourselves from the buffet spread available , whilst being entertained by a dancing group .
All in all very enjoyable experience .

“African experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

We had dinner at Boma on our visit to Victoria Falls. It was part of our Lion Tour's package. What a great experience. We were greeted with face painting and wrapped in a traditional cloth. We were then invited to dance with a group of dancers. My son caught it all on his IPhone.

The atmosphere was festive and traditional looking. The waiter was attentive. The food was good. The night included a large buffet with traditional dishes. We had the warthog, crocodile, various vegetables. I tried the Mopani Worm and got a certificate to prove it. It was fun to try different things.

There was great entertainment - drumming and dancing with audience participation. We had a great evening and I would recommend the experience for everyone.

“New Year's Eve”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

The family went to Boma last year for the New Year's Eve celebrations. It was memorable. I specifically was pleased that they made you feel at home when they wrapped you in traditional cloths and face painting. The food was good and atmosphere even better. I loved the setting. I also liked the fact that the children were taken care of and were able to enjoy the live music and dancing.

“Boma experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

This is a very popular restaurant, and the drumming is a great experience. However the food is mediocre and I feel the Boma has gone downhill. The Drinks are very expensive especially if you have cocktails. For US$10 cheaper Jungle Junction at the Victoria Falls Hotel is far better value for money, with much better food and they have a tribal dancing show too.
