Maybe it is just a minor issue; however, after all the time I spent trying to get on the internet (several hours over the course of a few days) I feel that a 4 is warranted. Maybe it is a technology issue outside the hotel's control, but if it is that was never conveyed to me.
The hotel itself was superb, the grounds well kept and the staff friendly. Thankfully the breakfast was included with the room because paying $27 for breakfast is something that I would not have done.
The proximity to the falls is also a huge plus, because in order to avoid the constant sales pressure on the way there, a taxi would certainly make things easier.
Canadians also be aware that currently the Zimbabwe Govt. must not be very happy with us because buying more than a single entry visa is not possible, and you pay $75 for the privilege. (I say currently because the sign at the border said multi-day visas could be purchased, where in reality they can no longer be purchased - maybe this will change again in a week). In any case, this means that if you cross the Victoria Falls bridge to Zambia, it will cost you $75, if you go to Chobe for the day, another $75 etc. etc. Most countries can get multiple entries for about $50.
As a final note, the pizza place in the Casino area makes good pizzas, thin crust, at a reasonable price.
