We really enjoyed our two night at this hotel. The room was very well decorated, with 11/2 baths, living room, balcony, mini bar and king bed. The hotel staff is friendly and service very good. They received us with a cool beverage at the lobby.

Room Tip: The hotel property is large, so the best spot is to get a room close to the lobby and restaurants ar...

It's hard to believe that you're in Zimbabwe at this hotel until you sit on the patio and see the animals approaching the water hole. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Food and drink prices are similar to US ($8 mojitos), so it isn't the most economical place in Zimbabwe, but the views are worth it. We saw so many different animals at the water hole - crocodiles, elephants, a huge herd of buffalo, impala, warthogs and more. Very close to town and great shuttle service too. Highly recommended!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor following your stay with us. We are extremely glad to hear that you managed to see such a large variety of animals at the waterhole. Now that the dry season is starting the animals are coming for water more often.

Thank you for recommending us and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

We really enjoyed our 2 nights at this hotel. We were amazed by the view of the waterhole with all the animals coming and going. The lodge itself is rustically beautiful, all set out so that you can see the waterhole from wherever you are (room, bar, restaurant, pool). We had a second floor room and loved the high ceiling, and the balcony got a lot of use. We did have a wasp in our room at one stage, but we just told reception on our way out and when we got back it was gone and there was a can of bug spray in our room.

We enjoyed the restaurant - we had breakfast and dinner there both days. It was a lovely ambience, with a great view of the waterhole and sunset. All the meals we had were delicious. It wasn't the cheapest place to eat though.

We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Any issues (ie wasp) we had were quickly addressed with minimum fuss, and our servers at the restaurant were excellent. The lady at the tour desk was busy, but was still happy to go out of her way to get us onto the next sunset cruise.

We enjoyed the sunset cruise, and saw lots of wildlife including elephants, hippos and giraffes. We also did the walking tour of the falls, which was great! And we did the horse riding. It was a relaxing way to spend an afternoon and we got to see some more animals too.

The resort strives to make your stay a great one! The food was superb, staff friendly and the rooms well serviced. When compared to other 4 star resorts I would say that it is slightly below expectations, however the friendliness of staff, punctuality of the shuttle, and food really makes up! the bathroom was on the small side - but still comfortable.

i would recommend this place - believe you will enjoy the stay!

(oh i don't forget to do massage there - the ladies are really good!)

We planned our wedding from New Zealand. The groom was from Zimbabwe and the Bride was from New Zealand. We visited staff at the lodge on our visit to Zim in 2009 and spoke of our intentions to get married at the lodge in December 2011. Victor was in regular contact regarding the preparation of our wedding and Janice then took on the role of wedding co-ordinator in the months leading up to the wedding.
We had approx 17 guests from New Zealand and many more from around Africa who were accommodated mainly at Lokuthula lodge but also a couple of nights at Vic Falls Safari Lodge.
We were always assisted by friendly Staff and they were especially helpful when finalising wedding details, accommodation and booking tourist attractions. Accommodation was clean and tidy with an impressive ambience. The food was fantastic especially the variety of unfamiliar meats. Dinner and entertainment at the Boma Restaurant was awesome!
Myself, Emma, and my husband Elmo would like to send a big thank you out to everyone who played a role in making our stay in Vic Falls comfortable and our wedding day so fantastic.

First of all the electricity kept going on and off... only accept rooms in the 40's and 50's as the others do not have views of the watering hole. The director, Jonathan was not very nice to us. The rest of the staff was good. The internet does not turn off.. you buy a card and it keeps going even when you are not using the card so when you go back to the computer your card is expired.
No aniumals except vultures in January.

Room Tip: only accept the rooms in numbers 40 - 59

This hotel, located within one of the nature reserves in Victoria Falls is a treat for the senses. The rooms are well appopinted and all look towards a watering hole used by the animals. This means that you may see elephants , impalas warthogs etc from your balcony . All the rooms have balconies.
The staff is superb . breakfasts are abundant and good and overlooking the savannah.
The rooms are well appointed and spacious . Bathrooms have showers and separate deep tubs.
