We were staying at the Lokuthula Lodges, which is on the same site as the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. It had been our intention to explore various eating options whilst in Victoria Falls but having dined at the Makuwa-Kuwa Restaurant the evening we arrived we didn’t see how our experience could be improved so we ate here for the whole seven days.
The menu was varied and include some local African game options. The food was presented very well, portions were ample (even for my friend Mark who is known for his appetite). The food was absolutely delicious, and we managed to sample most of what was on the menu during the week. The restaurant is well set out, although able to cater for large numbers the seating arrangements make the experience personal and if you are lucky enough to be overlooking the waterhole the arrival of elephant, buffalo and giraffe during the evening makes this an exceptionally special evening. You could even arrange a pre meal hide sit if you want a real close up experience.
The welcome and friendliness shown by the staff is balanced with an identical professional service, they retained a warm smile and good sense of humour even when under pressure from what appeared to me hard to please guests.
The Accopeller singers who gave a short performance each evening added a unique touch.
Thank you to you all for contributing to a wonderful stay in Zimbabwe.

Thanks again for your review Jo. It seems you had an all round awesome experience at Vic Falls and I'm glad Makuwa was a part of that.
