We tried Emmanuel's twice and have to admit that for Harare standards it is "ok" as a fine dining place. The food is quite beautifully presented in huge plates with small amounts the Michelin way...The prices are on the high side but it is European prices for a good restaurant. The food was not divine for my sensitive taste buds but acceptable if you want a change. It would be ideal for business visitors and for a family who would want to celebrate. Compared to the snobbish waiters of Victoria 22 this place has a nice ambiance and rather down to earth staff. The staff made every effort to serve our four year old and acted that it was normal to have a child. Which would be rather exceptional in Europe...There was another group of visitors at the restaurant (around 25) who were having a reunion. And we pretended to our son that one of the visitors was the kind of Zimbabwe. He believed it and the waiters played along with the story. Our son was well behaved during the four hours of the meal till the coffee was drunk and actually believed that it was a royal restaurant. The decor can actually make you believe that.
