After having spent the previous night in a bedouin tent in the dessert near Essabria or Sabria, I am sure anything would have seemed luxurious. However, I have stayed at the Les 4 Saisons hotel in Djerba, the Djerba Haroun, the Derjba Sun Club and here and I have visited and toured several other hotels on the main land and on the island. This is definitely one of the more comfortable and attractive hotels that I have stayed at in Tunisia.

To reach our room #617 you have to leave the lobby, descend stairs, cross the pool area and climb another small flight of stairs. The hotel provides porter service so this wasn't a problem. The room was very spacious with a generous, separate sitting area, a large bathroom with toiletries and a queen-sized bed with good firm matress. There was also a TV, desk and plenty of storage space.

We had a lovely buffet lunch with a large choice of entres, principal dishes and desserts. Beverages were not included with our meals and accommodation, like at almost all the hotels we have stayed at, but were no more or less expensive than anywhere else. Service was friendly and efficient.

We also had coffee in the cafe maure, no surprises and very lovely decor, and we had cocktails in the bar lounge. Here the drinks were a bit more pricey than elsewhere but not by much and you got salty snacks with your cocktail. It was very pleasant relaxing in this attractive lounge.

We opted for the Arabian night dinner show in the Oasis so didn't dine in the hotel.

Breakfast was similar to what you get in any of the other hotels I've stayed at. Fresh pressed juice is always extra and it was about 2.50 DT if memory serves correctly. We didn't see anyone preparing made-to-
order eggs or crepes but that may just have been our timing.

The hotel was clean, spacious, airy and had a nice feel to it. We sorely wanted to take advantage of the gorgeous pool but had signed on to excursions.

I would definitely give this hotel another shot if ever I were to return to Tozeur.
