The best thing about the hotel was the beautifully tiled and planted premises, including the central courtyard and comfy balcony. Rivalling this was the fact that the manager's son, Hamid, could speak nearly perfect english, and was very friendly. Parking was out on the street, and in a questionable location, though nothing bad happened. The rooms are not the best, though the staff (father and son) are very accomodating, and will move you to a room that suits you. None of the rooms have bathtubs (or so we could interpret from the father's broken english, and we never checked with the son. The first room we got had no good air-con (small extra charge), and the second room had half of a toilet seat, instead of a whole! Still the beds were nice, and the rooms were mostly good. The location is a bit out of the way, but close to the palmeraie and the caleche (horse-drawn carriage) stand. Coming from Gafsa, turn left just before the hotel Niffer sign, at the tourist office, then ride the bend left to just past the continental.
