“excellent place to relax after a long day safari...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

been here for two nights and wished i stayed here more... overall ambience is really good, excellent service, big, neat and clean rooms.. lot of space for the kids to play around. good view point from where you could see the wild animals.. occasionaly they also get into this resort.. and an elepahnt joined us for breakfast. Excellent food with wide spread in the buffet. only drawback is this place is little bit far from the main game drive, though there are lot to see on the way to this place.

Being an American working in Tanzania, I've been through the Serengeti many times in past years. This week we took some visitors on safari and stayed in the Serengeti Serena. I agree with other reviewers- An exceptional stay. The lodge is located on a hill overlooking the buffalo and elephants of the Serengeti. The decor and architecture is designed to remind the visitor that you are indeed in Africa! Comfortable beds and helpful, friendly staff. Our food waiter was Felician, (from the village of Katesh) who was a pleasure to meet. He made every meal entertaining and special. I would give this lodge 5 stars but for some of the bathroom fixtures, which could be updated. The showers do not have a curb. The water from the shower runs all over the floor. Otherwise, this lodge comes highly recommended.

These are cozy huts with more than enough room for two people to stay very comfortably, you are smack in the middle of the Serengeti and have views for days in this place off your little deck in each hut. The food was great there was nightly buffet that offered a wide variety of food for everyone in the group.

Separate two-story "huts" spaced around the property, each with a great view of the Serengeti Plains. Rooms are very comfortable. Try to get an upper floor. After dark, there are many security guards to walk you to and from your room, as there sometimes are dangerous animals on the property. Food was very good, not gourmet, but this is Tanzania.

This was a lovely lodge. The bungalows were nicely furnished and the view from the balcony was wonderful. The food and service were very good. There was entertainment in the evening which was worth seeing. All in all a lovely place to stay.

It's not until the last turn that the hotel comes into view. The huts that dot the property are well camouflaged within the forest, so much so, that one is forbidden to move around unescorted after dark.
The rooms are a tad small, but the location (one can stare from one's bay window at deer scurrying past)and services more than make up for that. The dinner and breakfast spreads are both excellent. Evenings can be well spent at the bar that extends into an open verandah with a comfortable seating area.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great! You can have your choice from those nearest or furthest away from the dinin...
