Great collection of Tanzania's history. Beautiful representation of all its people and a great amount of rarely seen treasures.

“Sad museum”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

This museum is not a museum but a sad and tattered place. I could say a whole lot more, but I think this sums it up.

“It is hardly worth the effort!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

This national museum is not worth a visit, a few sadly stuffed animals, some gourami in a fish tank, a couple of vice-roy & Presidential cars and an assortment of tribal wooden artifacts all in a dusty and uninspiring display the most interesting a couple of wooden bicycles, the 2nd building has a photographic and artifacts from the colonial period as well as posters of the history of man. OK to pass an hour of your time.
