“Good Food_except pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

Their food is very good and service is also good.
Try the Red Snapper Fillet, and their Beef Soup!!!
Only thing is when you order a pizza, be prepared to wait 1hour for it!!

“Simply good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

The Slipway is one of my favorites in Dar. Don't go there for coffee, it's not good. But go there for a simple pizza or some fish, a mojito or a beer and enjoy the seabreeze and enjoy the company of many expats, tourists ans locals. It's always filled with people here, with reason!

“Fabulous sunsets and great ambiance”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012 via mobile

Get there early and you get prime seating which also pretty much ensures good service too as it can get really busy and then the service is pretty bad. Great cocktails though and at a good price. The food was average to good depending on what you ordered. Stick to the seafood and simple stuff and you will do fine. The location is good and I highly recommend the 3 wheeler tuk tuks to get you bak to the hotel IF you staying on the peninsula. The drivers are fun and it's an experience as we all found out.

“Pathetic service and food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

No doubt the place has a beautiful sea front. But go there with lots and lots time as the you will have to wait for really looooong for the Waiter to come and take your order, and here the waiting starts. Now again wait loooooooooooong for the food and drinks to be served. And when the food is served its already cold. Enjoy yourself.

“The place to be!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

The sunset, with friends and a few dring is a must do! The service, sometimes, is overwhelmed by so many people coming, but that is only because is so popular. In the end, the seafood skewer is there for you to try!
