On first sight, it doesn't look like anything special. When my friends and I arrived there at dusk, most of us decided to head back to the hotel - however, two of us stayed, and we were sooooo glad we did. After strolling around, and posing with a pufferfish (standard), we decided on one of the many women cooking food on portable stoves. After loading a plate full of veggie-yumminess, we sat down at a bench with a load of locals, and handed mugs of chai (food and chai for less than £0.40!). A really memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it. You get a real feel of Tanzanian city life. Make sure you try the spiced octopus and fish (sooo good) and watch out for mashed plantain (looks just like mashed spud, but nowhere near as nice!!)
