My family visited Calabash when they were in Ezulwini Valley in Swaziland 16 years ago and they were always great. Was a lovely surprise to see them in Dar when we moved here. Have heard that they are closing down this month tho.
Calabash Café is a family favorite... Birthdays, anniversaries, romantic dinners, quiet time, and more are all enjoyed here. The owner and his family take the business seriously, as do the staff, and it shows. Every dish is an experience, every meal a delight, and though it's not the fanciest of locations, it serves its patrons just fine. I can't recommend one dish over another, they're all just delicious. Try it.. You won't be disappointed.

Both the quality of food and the service are excellent. I stay here for quite a while and I do not get tired of the way seafood is prepared, fresh from the sea.
Nice varied menu of fish, meat and veggie dishes, good quality, fresh, good service.
Eventhough the spot is not that special in Sea Cliff Court, the Calabash does offer really good food and good service.
