“The very best in dar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

Chefs pride is located in the city centre albeit no ample parking space but the food is top notch and is very clean compared to other restaurants. The service is excellent and the restaurant is run professionally and are attentive to customer needs. There are variety of food including local, indian, continental, chinese, indian either tomorder or buffet type. Try local pweza (octopusy) soup for your breakfast with passion fruit juice and masala tea.
Highly recommended

“A decent budget eatery”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

A busy eatery on a busy narrow street. Atmosphere & decor as good. They offer a wide variety of foods - breakfast thru dinner - at a relatively good budget price. Food was decent, by far not the best we've had in similar price range (eg. see the Jambo Inn Restaurant around on the corner for even better variety & tastier selections for the same or less $). It was close to capacity with staff & customers bustling all around, but we still received our food within 25 minutes of ordering. The Chef service was OK at best, they're rushed & mostly impersonal, but got the job done. Food comes when it is ready, so unless you order similar plates don't expect to be served at same time. The Chef is a good option in the area if staying more than a few days (there are also several other good bbq's & restaurants in the area to choose from).
