“A ery well run riad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

We had a very pleasent stay at this riad. We were given "the penthouse" room which was great as it gave us good views of the surrounding areas and was peaceful and quite.
The rooms were well furnished as were the common areas and the dining area. There was a large flatscreen TV in the common area for all to use . Everything was clean and well kept.
We had a traditional dinner which was excellent as was the breakfast the next morning.
The riad is well located just of the main square which makes it easy to go for a stroll and come back to the security of your accomodation.

Room Tip: If you can get on of the rooms at the top do so as the views are great

Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation, good location, delicious food, cosy hammam and a manager who truly strives for comfort and safety of their guests. At the end, yes they do serve wine (local and tasty) and beer too.

One of the strengths of this riad is without any doubt its location, very central and convenient for a visit of the city, which should not be missed out from any trip to Morocco.

We spent one night in this beautiful riad managed by a lovely local couple, which proved to be of great assistance even when I had a problem with my backpack.
The riad is nicely furnished, with lots of local beautiful ornaments and artefacts, collected with passion and devotion. The common areas are very relaxing and invite to sip a Moroccan tea while reading a good book in total peace and silence, feeling like you were at home.
During the time of our stay they were building the Hammam, which we had the chance to see and it will add a nice touch to the place.
And now about the room: we stayed in the Shehrazad, which is a nice room at the top of the riad. As it was rainy and not very warm for being September the room was cold and a bit humid, but they provided warm additional blankets.
The bathroom is simple and lacks of shampoo and shower gel and should get better maintenance. There was little water pressure in the washbasin and the drainpipe of the shower was clogged up.

Try to have dinner as the food is excellent and freshly cooked, though they do not serve wine (you need to bring your own). Breakfast is also abundant and very good.

We stayed at ryad bahia last year and were happy to spend another night there this year. We were very happy with our room - one of the rooms on the roof terrasse so nice and quiet away, from the courtyard. The terrasse has plenty of seating and a good view on the hole medina,. The breakfast is very good and we enjoyed an excellent dinner one night too!
Would definitely recommend and revisit. Meknes is close enough to spit on.....good for the obligatory sunset pilgrimage

We stayed for three nights at Riad bahia during our holiday in Morocco
It is located in the heart of the medina - a few steps from the main square:Place Lahdim. Firstly, the staff are so very friendly and accommodating, they can help you to vist all Morocco Secondly, the meals (breakfast) were great..

The rooms are very clean and well kept (the beds were very comfortbale), and the complimentary wifi was very useful!

Definitely a great place to stay if you want to an authentic experience in Meknes.

Astuce pour la chambre : We enjoyed our time in Room Lilla, on the upper level. It meant navigating the stairs, ...

Room Tip: The rooms on the upper floor are very welcoming.
