This cosy warm little restaurant is something we were glad to come across during our stay. It differed from the tourist-style cafes on the main roads and squares, and offered us a more homely environment in which to enjoy a relaxed, private meal without feeling that we were just a business transaction, or "bums on seats". We actually stayed for a couple of hours talking in one of the beautiful enclaves, decorated with moroccan tapestry and mosaic tables. The family who runs it goes about their own things and are relaxed and know what to do- clearly they have been doing this for 30 years and know how to make us feel at home.
Food is good, wholesome and plentiful. Prices are honest and reasonable.
I personally recommend the pastilla, which is a heavy, sweet pastry filled with chicken and strewn with honey and almonds.
