Gives one a true Moroccan local experience. Riad could do with abit of tlc and attention to detail. Attentive staff and very helpful. Location is fantastic, much to see with in walking distance. Overall a nice experience with a rustic charm.

Room Tip: top room noisy from roof top activity. Bathroom lacks freshness as it lacks open ventilation.

...Maria was on hand from start to finish and really went out of her way to assist in every way possible. Upon arrival Rashid & Mohammed were a wonderful extension of her quality of service throughout. When they provided a cake and decorations for my boyfriends birthday I was genuinely touched. The location was perfect for us & the calm as soon as you walk through the door is palpable. We spent the first two nights in Grande Suite Amel which was amazing & a great way to start the holiday and then returned for our final night in Suite D'Olive which was so unique.
Lovely roof terrace & overall just a wonderful stay.

From our first interaction with the owner, Maria, the gracious, friendly hospitality of everyone connected with Riad Mur Akush was outstanding. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were made to feel welcome and at ease.

Our suite was stylish, impeccably clean and comfortable. Also quirky and interesting. We had a great morning buying ingredients with Rachid for an afternoon of cooking instruction from charming Zakia. Our lemon chicken couscous mains and aubergine starters were delicious. Our friends will enjoy our new skills. Will be back soon. John & Barbara (London).

Room Tip: One of the suites is best.

Lovely decorated and peaceful Riad, with a great roof terrace and friendly staff. It's in a great location about 5 minutes walk from teh north area of te souks, and abot 10 minutues walk to the main square.

Room Tip: The Olive Suite is lovely, but not the most private room ever as it opens up onto the courtyard, so...

We spent a long weekend here and enjoyed escaping the hustle and bustle (but fun) old town and relaxing on the roof terrace enjoying the sunshine, beautiful views and the a good book. Rashid was the most incredible cook and I'd recommend having dinner here on your first night - very romantic and a gorgeous setting.

Top marks, we want to go back already!

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room, they've got living space as well as a bedroom

Riad Mur Akush was perfect for us in every way when we stayed in Marrakech for 3 nights in Sept 2013.

The staff (Mohammed, Leila and Rashid) were absolutely wonderful, making sure that we were really well looked after and comfortable. They prepared scrumptious breakfasts each morning as well as some beautiful tagines for us on our last day - thank you Leila .

Our room was on the ground floor, opening out into the central courtyard. We didn't mind this much as we weren't too bothered about privacy - even then most guests were out during the day so there was no issue of privacy. Seems that our room blocks out the noise from the morning call for prayer (as we found out speaking to other guests) :D

Room was v comfortable and beautifully decorated in vivid colours.

Location of the riad was perfect as it is a short walk to the Jemaa el Fna square, and also to the new area of Gueliz.

Thank you to all at Riad Mur Akush for a wonderful stay!

It was really calming to come back to the riad after a mad day at the souks, and have a lovingly-made cup of mint tea.

Room Tip: Ground floor room blocks out any noise from morning prayer call

Thank you for your kind review. The whole team is sending their regards! I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and you liked Suite D'Olive. You are right, it does block the noise from the mosque and it is also cooler than the other rooms an added bonus in hot Marrakech! We are looking forward to having you over to our house again in the future. Take care and thank you once again for taking the time to leave us this wonderful review - much appreciated.
