“A friendly oasis in the marrakech madness!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

On arrival at the Riad late in the evening we were met by our host Christian (Laurent and Aziz were away on their own holiday!). Christian showed us around the beautiful Riad and we sat and chatted over a few cups of mint tea.

The Riad is in an excellent location, 5mins walk from Jemaa El Fna square. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and decorated in tradiational morrocan fashion. There is also a lovely roof terrace to chill out and soak up the sun away from the hectic streets and alleys.

Said, Leyla and the other staff were always on hand with a big smile and were extremely accommodating. They arranged and collected bus tickets for our trip to Agadir and on our third night served up a lovely tradiational meal for us to enjoy in the courtyard.

All in all this was a great experience, made all the more unforgettable by the staff and surroundings. If we ever return to Marrakech we will certainly be staying here!!

P.s - Be sure to have a meal at pepeneros just around the corner.

We stayed in Riad Aguerzame whilst exploring Marrakech and it was a great choice. The reviews on TripAdvisor don't lie; we came to this Riad based on TripAdvisor reviews and weren't disappointed.
The Riad is in a great location - 10 minutes walk from the main square in Marrakech. It's in a safe area and very easy to get to. The Riad itself is very tastefully decorated with a nice area to relax with a homely feel. The room was great - we had the downstairs room next to the courtyard which was a little on the small side but this was no issue whatsoever. The food at the Riad is great; breakfast is a feast and the dinner if you choose to have it is very good as well. Another bonus is the complimentary tea, coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and water in the Riad at all times during the day.
But by far and beyond the best thing this Riad offers is service. Aziz is the most amazing host you could ask for. He's extremely welcoming, and helpful. From making us feel welcome when we arrived, to taking us to the square the first evening at 11pm after dinner to ensure we didn't get lost, to explaining how to work the streets of the Medina without getting hassled, to great tips on dinner outside the Riad, to buying our bus tickets for our travel to Agadir after our time in Marrakech was over... The service is top-quality - much higher than anything we experienced anywhere else in Morocco. Nothing is too much trouble for Aziz and that is what sets this place apart from the rest.
Lastly we'd also highly recommend the excursion to the Berber village (€50 pp) that Aziz will offer to organise. You can tailor this trip exactly how you want (we went for a hike up in the Atlas Mountains) and you get a real sense of the true Berber lifestyle - well-worth the money!
Very highly recommended!

We chose the Riad based on the great Trip Advisor reviews and even then were surprised by the level of hospitality we received and the beautiful room! We arrived dusty and tired after a 9 hour drive back from the Sahara to a warm welcome by Aziz, who then ran out himself to order and bring us back pizza when he was unable to get hold of the pizza place by phone! Aziz and Said are incredibly accommodating and really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. The Riad itself is beautiful with orange trees in the courtyard (where we also enjoyed a delicious breakfast). Our room was super clean, comfortable and the shower was great - perfect for washing off all the Sahara sand! Location is great - just a short walk from the main square. I cannot recommend this Riad enough. If you are going to Marrakech stay here!!!

This Riad is just perfect! The location is great for exploring the medina, only a short walk to the main square and easily accessible to all the main sites! The rooms are lovely, clean and spacious and the common courtyard is great to relax in and cool down after the heat outside. The best part of all was Aziz's hospitality along with the array of staff we met over our short 2 night stay. They couldn't be more accommodating, mint tea and cookies every time we returned for a break and they even helping us to do our washing at no extra charge!! To top it off, we had our best meal here cooked by the lovely Laila, don't miss the meal, you won't get better at any of the restaurants! I would stay here again in a heartbeat, Thank-you Aziz and team!

Our first time in Morocco, I chose this riad based upon Trip Advisor reviews, and we were thrilled with the choice. My husband and I arrived from Spain and had booked two nights with seven more opened-ended. Laurent oriented us to the medina and made great suggestions for places to visit. We enjoyed two wonderful dinners there, and felt so at home with the welcoming attitude of Laurent and his staff after busy hours touring the area, and added a third night. We stayed in both upstairs and patio level rooms; both very comfortable and well appointed. Laurent organized a very interesting day trip to a Berber village, followed by a custom six-night tour to meet our interests and explore other parts of Morocco. If another Marrakech visit is possible in the future, we'll definitely stay here again.

The Riad itself was gorgeous but not as amazing as Laurent. He invited us into his home and treated us like long lost friends. He provided guidance and hospitality every step of the way. Thank you Laurent for such an amazing start to our trip!

Friendly, organised and relaxed. It's my second time in Marrakech and my wife and I love the place. I'm pleased to say this riad continued my love of all things Moroccan. From my first initial emails through to my departure everything about this little riad was first class.

Laurent and Christian are unreservedly helpful, from picking us up at the airport (don't try to do this on your own, unless you're ready to bargain and know the place like the back of your hand ) to giving us lots of helpful local info. They're on hand if you need them, especially if you require something special or just something simple like bus tickets.
Our room was clean and suited the style and ambience of a Moroccan riad, the wifi was good throughout ( a necessity if you travel like us with no day to day plan) and the breakfast was lovely. Who doesn't love a bit of cake for breakfast.

A great place for a great price, we like it so much we've booked in for another night on our return.
