“You feel so welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

Aziz and his staff took excellent care of us from the moment we arrived (Laurent, the owner was on holidays). Aziz gave us a great introduction to Marrakech - What to see, in dialogue with us, and how to get there. This personal attention to us and the other guests was typical for our stay.
Another example is how he suggested restaurants and made reservations for us.
We really felt like valued guests.
This is a very nice place to stay that is very close to Jemaa el Fna. We recommend it!

I was unable to travel to Marrakesh due to health issues. The owners were very understanding and did not charge me the remainder due since I couldn't make it. I will book here again when I am able to travel again.

For starters, we were pleased with the friendly feedback provided by the Riad owner in the pre-planning process. Upon a most efficient arrival coordinated by the Riad, we found there was a lot to like about the Riad location and physical character.

However, it was the amazing Riad staff that made this our stay so special. Aziz, who was managing the Riad while the owner was on Christmas holiday, did a great job of getting us oriented with a map of the Medina... next he took us on a short foray into the Medina itself to help us get money, to show us landmarks/ restaurants and to get a phone card... we then ventured by ourselves with his phone number in our pockets should problems arise, The perceptive recommendations provided, the reservations made for us and Aziz having pick up Fez train tickets for us ETC, saved us all kinds of valuable time and optimized our Marrakech experience in many ways.

Of course these are only our Aziz impressions, the rest of the staff was equally helpful and cheerfully accommodating... something we really appreciated after a tiring day of exploring in the medina. Marrakech is a wonderful experience...but without the help of the Riad Aguerzame staff we would not have gotten nearly as much out of our time in Marrakech."

Hard to add much to previous reviews. The welcome by Laurent and Aziz was fabulous - we were pleased to have taken up the offer of collection from the airport as we would never have found it ourselves! Laurent gave us a brilliant talk on what to see and where to go with tips about prices and places like the sky bar which wasn't in the guide books. There is a box of guidebooks in every language for guests to borrow and with Aziz helpfully showing us the way to the square the first time we nevere got lost! The rooms here are beautiful and very comfy, and a nice touch was when we booked an additional person although there was no room the first night of our stay Laurent arranged a room at a friend's raid just around the corner. Food is fabulous and we would recommend atnleastnone night sampling Layla's gorgeous food. Overall a really excellent place to stay, central, welcoming and cosy. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!

We had a great time during our short stay in Marrakech. My son had a college entrance test there so we turned it into a father/son adventure. Laurent & Aziz were excellent hosts and were eager to make us feel comfortable and welcome, even when we showed up early for our reservation. They had some great suggestions for places to eat and things to see, all within walking distance of their beautifully decorated, peaceful Riad. What ever their chef was preparing for dinner the night we were there smelled amazing, you should definitely experience a meal at the Riad. Aziz served us some wonderful Moroccan mint tea and delicious little cookies when we returned from our night out in the medina. He also got up early in the morning to ensure my son had a good breakfast before his test, arranged transportation for us, and made sure we were safe and on our way in plenty of time for the test. I would definitely recommend Riad Aguerzame to my friends and you too!

Room Tip: All the rooms are in a great location.

Pam & Mike from UK.
My husband & I have just come home from a week's stay in Riad Aguerzame, Marrakech where the hospitality & the service we were given was truly exceptional. Laurent the owner, & Aziz his manager, went to a great deal of effort to ensure that we got the most out of our holiday & that it went smoothly. Our flight was 6 hours late getting into Marrakech airport & yet the the taxi we had booked with them was there to meet us. It was our first venture into Africa & we found the inital orientation talk Aziz gave us very helpful in learning about the culture, the sights & how Marrakech works. After this Laurent walked with us to the main square to ensure that we knew where we were, & how to find our way about. The riad itself was a calm, oasis in a bustling city. It was stylish, spotlessly clean & the breakfasts were good. All the staff were very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. The guided day trip to the Berber village that Aziz booked for us was a real highlight. We saw a bustling Moroccan village & market & strolled through the countryside to an auberge where we ate traditional Moroccan food. The English speaking guide was keen to share his village & answered all of the many questions we asked very thoroughly. We felt that we had seen Morocco & its people as they really are.
We can truly & without hesitation recommend Riad Aguerzame. Thank you Laurent & Aziz for such a good stay!

We were looked after superbly by Laurent, Aziz and the staff. We could not have asked for a better place to stay in order to see Marrakesh and some of the surrounding area. We enjoyed a lovely dinner with wine on our first evening. Aziz told us all about the area and escorted us to the central square. The Riad was a beautiful, relaxing place to stay with a sunny rooftop terrace. Aziz and Laurent helped make sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. We visited the Atlas mountains with a Berber guide and took a trip to the coast...all arrangements facilitated wonderfully by Aziz and Laurent. They also made helpful recommendations for cafes and restaurants which were most welcome. A great stay in a fascinating place!
