“Wonderful breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013 via mobile

We stayed at Aguerzame for 3 days and just loved it! Wonderful breakfast with homemade pancakes, fresh orange juice and croissants, always good help from the host Laurent and beautyful rooms. One of the best places I've ever stayed at.

“Amazing service, close to the square”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

My friend and I stayed in a 2nd floor room and really enjoyed the tranquility of this riad. This was the first riad we stayed in when we got to Marrakech and its proximity to Djemma el Fna as well as the palaces was helpful to see lots in a short time. Best of all was Aziz who took time to answer any of all of our questions and made sure we didn't get lost and always had somewhere to eat and something to do. Laurent was very kind, but since we saw Aziz more, I have to say he was a real gem.

The only negative I might say is getting to the riad the first time. We took the train in from Marrakech and although we were offered a ride from the station by Laurent, we weren't sure about our schedule and thought maybe we could do better than paying 15 euros as was offered. Unsurprisingly, we were given exorbitant prices by the taxi drivers at the station and worst of all, when they dropped us off at the closest point in the medina, we got suckered into being led to the riad by a entrepreneurial teenager. When we gave him a tip, he argued with us and demanded more money. Between him and the taxi ride, we probably spent about the equivalent in 15euros and the teenager especially was incredibly unpleasant to deal with. It would be nice if the riad could provide some directions since it's really not that hard to find once you're dropped off.

Overall though, wonderful place to stay, fun people to meet, and great staff to learn from.

“Great service and comfortable stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

My friend and I stayed here in the middle of a heat wave yet the hotel still seemed very comfortable. The first thing you notice is the short door that you crouch through to go in - a small entrance to a spacious courtyard (with orange tree!), beautiful decor, and gorgeous rooms. Laurent and Aziz were incredibly hospitable and welcoming, going out of their way to give us helpful recommendations and maps, and tips for navigating the Marrakech medina. Very nice stay!

“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

My wife and I enjoyed a very happy stay at the Riad Aguerzame. Laurent and his team make you feel very welcome. The food - breakfast and evening meals - were excellent as too the Riad itself (rooms, courtyard, location in the Medina). Laurent has a fantastic insider's knowledge of Marrakesh and will happily advise on restaurants, shops, prices-to-pay, etc that - as a short stay tourist - you would otherwise be simply unaware of. Virtually no request seems too much - he even escorted us to a "secret tailor store" on the way to the airport so my wife could get a last minute fitting for a leather jacket. Oh, and if you do have an evening meal in the Riad, don't forget to ask Laurent to chanter le blues!

“lovely little oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Great little Riad in the mayhem that is Marrakech. Only 4 rooms so really personal service with lots of information and help finding your way around. Breakfast to die for, and pretty courtyard and roof terrace to catch the sun and sip mint tea. Highly recommended!
