“Hidden Oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

Riad Khadija is truly a hidden Oasis tucked away in the middle of the medina. Once you enter a feeling of peace and calm engulf you. We had an amazing stay. The Riad is clean and super comfortable. The staff are wonderful. Especially Ihsaan, he made sure we were comfortable. The location is very close to the main square so it's convenient. However I would suggest a transfer from the airport or train station the first time you go, so that you can familiarize yourself with the route in and out. We were actually happy to even spend the entire day just relaxing at the Riad.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

We stayed in the Riad for our first three nights in Morocco. We loved the experience so much that we trimmed a day of Casablanca to come back for an extra night... We loved Khadija Spa chiefly for their impeccable service, which was definitely on par with five star conglomerates. Hassan, the Riad manager, is the most diligent, kind, and hospitable person, who really made us felt at home. Prior to arriving at the Riad, I had the most horrible transit journey with Air China (do NOT travel with them - their chaotic management and zero-protocol operation caused me, and other 30 transit passengers to miss our flights to Europe. I was then told to be on standby for two days with no information update whatsoever, as nobody knew what they were doing! After much begging and crying I finally flew out 11 hours later - missing my flight to Marrakesh! But I digressed), which meant I got to the hotel at past well past midnight. Hassan whipped up a lovely Tagine at last minute's notice, to which we are still very grateful about! One evening when we were all dressed up for a dinner in town, it started pouring down... Souks don't mix with rain (cue murky puddles), so Hassan offered to cook us a romantic meal instead... And the meal finished with the most fantastic dessert of ice cream and thin crisps (which he made from scratch!) When we used the courtyard to do some work, Hassan gave us coffee and cakes when he really didn't need to (I guess he sympathised!), not to mention our breakfasts in bed (we're not supposed to, but Hassan let us anyway!), and the copious amount of fantastic mint tea he offered!...
The rooms! Ah, the rooms are so tastefully decorated by owner Nathalie, who's super friendly too. Every morning the chambermaid cleaned the rooms to absolutely spotless condition, totally surpassing the cleanliness required by top hotels.
The location is another plus point of the Riad. It's within the old medina, shops are under 2-min away, and the Big Square is only a 10-min walk away. The location is so convenient, yet, where the riad is is super quiet and tranquil, since it's tucked away in a safe souk. It's a bit secluded but we never really got lost as there were notable landmarks to guide us back. We can't think of a better place to be really! We will definitely come back in the future. I cannot recommend Riad Khadija Spa more!

I stayed in the riad for 8days with my mother. The riad is a hidden gem, tucked away just outside the main square and extremely close to the grand bazaar, an ideal location considering many riads are outside the old medina making it extremely difficult to get around Marrakech.
There is not enough space the write how great the staff were. The chef gave us a fantastic Moroccan cooking class, ihssan and Nathalie helped us immensely with our shopping, directions and making us feel very comfortable throughout our trip. Nothing was too hard for them.
We ate at the riad every night, always something new and exciting for us to try. so if you're looking for the right balance of relaxation, shopping and culture riad khadija is the place to stay!
Thanks so much for making our first Moroccan adventure so memorable :)

We are a family with children aged 2, 13, 15 and 17 and our one week stay at this riad was according to the eldest three our best holiday ever, Daisy (15) even cried when we had to leave, the
staff, namely Ihsann and Senna are fantastic and we could not write down how special and welcome they made us feel, Ihsaan's english is very good and he was brilliant at helping us with the unusual buying system and also very good at pointing you towards the shops that the locals use instead of the inflated priced souk stores.
If you are thinking of visiting Marrakech look no further than here as you will not be dissapointed, I know a few people get concerned about getting lost in the souks but we always found our way back very easily as there are several prominent buildings to navigate by and the three elder children ventured into the souks on their own and thouroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We can't wait to return next year and are already planning the holiday.
A big thank you to everyone at the Khadja Spa for a superb holiday.

Room Tip: We had musk and Cannelle and both are spacious and comfortable

Stayed at Khadija Riad for one week on half board and it was excellent. The staff and owners are amazing, they were so courteous and friendly you felt like a real special guest. The food was marvellous and so much to eat each night, very authentic Morrocan food and not one dish the same for the whole week - we are Vegetarian snd this was not a problem. The Riad itself is beautiful and even though you are in the heart of the Medina it was so peaceful and relaxing. We had the Musk room at the Riad and it was lovely and spacious, decorated in a real Morrocan style. There is a sun terrace and sitting area that was just perfect to relax in after a long day around the souks and sight seeing. The souks and main square are less than 10 minute walk away and very easy to find. Trips and airport transfer organised at the Riad were very efficient with a driver arriving exactly on time waiting to take you to the pick up point for day trips. I would absolutely recommend Khadija Riad - l cannot not speak any French and this was not a problem with the staff and owners - we managed commuicate quiet successfully.

It is very cosy, where you feel more like home than in a hotel. Natalie, Mohammed and Senna do everything to make it a nice stay: from preparing our room in a special way, arranging good trips, preparing excellent dinners to have a nice chat about Marokko and its culture. Breakfast is nice with every day something different but special is prepared. We loved to have the breakfast on the sunny rooftop overlooking the city. Very good location near to the main attractions in the medina, yet in a quiet location.

An tranquil, calm oasis in a very mad and busy city, Riad Khadija is just 10 minutes away from the medina's main square and souks, a brilliant location once you get your bearings!. The staff were all incredibly polite, welcoming and friendly and the rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. No english is spoken so remember your phrasebook! The one meal we had there wasn't brilliant but adequate.... I'd recommend eating out at a stall in the square, they're cheap and cheerful but the food they serve is fresh and authentic and made in front of you whereas most of the restaurants in the medina are pretty shady. Marrakech can be a bit heavy so this place is a perfect retreat.
