We stayed in the Riad for our first three nights in Morocco. We loved the experience so much that we trimmed a day of Casablanca to come back for an extra night... We loved Khadija Spa chiefly for their impeccable service, which was definitely on par with five star conglomerates. Hassan, the Riad manager, is the most diligent, kind, and hospitable person, who really made us felt at home. Prior to arriving at the Riad, I had the most horrible transit journey with Air China (do NOT travel with them - their chaotic management and zero-protocol operation caused me, and other 30 transit passengers to miss our flights to Europe. I was then told to be on standby for two days with no information update whatsoever, as nobody knew what they were doing! After much begging and crying I finally flew out 11 hours later - missing my flight to Marrakesh! But I digressed), which meant I got to the hotel at past well past midnight. Hassan whipped up a lovely Tagine at last minute's notice, to which we are still very grateful about! One evening when we were all dressed up for a dinner in town, it started pouring down... Souks don't mix with rain (cue murky puddles), so Hassan offered to cook us a romantic meal instead... And the meal finished with the most fantastic dessert of ice cream and thin crisps (which he made from scratch!) When we used the courtyard to do some work, Hassan gave us coffee and cakes when he really didn't need to (I guess he sympathised!), not to mention our breakfasts in bed (we're not supposed to, but Hassan let us anyway!), and the copious amount of fantastic mint tea he offered!...
The rooms! Ah, the rooms are so tastefully decorated by owner Nathalie, who's super friendly too. Every morning the chambermaid cleaned the rooms to absolutely spotless condition, totally surpassing the cleanliness required by top hotels.
The location is another plus point of the Riad. It's within the old medina, shops are under 2-min away, and the Big Square is only a 10-min walk away. The location is so convenient, yet, where the riad is is super quiet and tranquil, since it's tucked away in a safe souk. It's a bit secluded but we never really got lost as there were notable landmarks to guide us back. We can't think of a better place to be really! We will definitely come back in the future. I cannot recommend Riad Khadija Spa more!
