Cafe des Espices on Place des Espices is a great place to stop for a quick drink, rest your weary feet and watch the bustling square infront of you. It also has a clean and well-stocked loo! However, my favourite eating place in Marrakech is its sister restaurant Terraces des Espices. This is situated close to Cafe Arabe and is a rooftop restaurant with tables to sit and eat in the sun, with great views over the rooftops to the snow-capped Atlas Mountains beyond. If its chilly you park yourself in one of their little nooks and cosy up. Highly recommend having the chicken pastilla, the sardine tart and the goats cheese salad - all of which are excellent. No alcohol served here, but the fresh juices are wonderful and they make a good cappucino too. Service is excellent and the staff and friendly, helpful and a delight. Will always go back here . . .

This place is simple in decor, but provides superb service, food and drink to the extent that I rate it one of the best in Marrakech. Run very efficiently by a young team with views of life on the sqaure outside. Relaxing place, well worth hunting out.

Okay, honestly I cannot remember if I ate here or not (because I ate at quite a few places along the square...all delicous!). But this place stands out in my mind as having a great view of Jemaa el-Fna! For anyone, like myself, who is hesitant to take pics/video while actually down in the square, a cafe like this is what you need to seek out. Order some mint tea (mmmmm), sit, relax, listen to the noise & take all the pics you want. Enjoy Marrakech! It's an amazing place!

Great place to watch world go by with a mint tea. Perfect above a busy square, lots of life to observe. Not eaten here but the food looks good.
