“A fantasic Longweekend in North Africa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

A wonderful place to stay when in the city... close to the Djemaa el Fna, the souks and the Koutoubia Mosque, but not TOO close to be hassled by the street-vendors when leaving the tranquility of the Riad. The rooms are clean, air-conditioned and a very comfortably size, given just how small the Riad is and how big the bathrooms are, with each based on a different spice, and decorated accordingly. Meals are traditional Moroccan, and worth staying in for dinner, and worth getting up for in the morning with the staff going out of there way to accommodate you. from water to fresh bread... A must stay when in Marrakech!

Room Tip: All the rooms are named after Spices... We Stayed in Paprika, and its a wonderful room with a great...

Perfect location for exploring the souks and marrakech. breakfast was tasty and when asked for fruit they were happy to help. Tranquil place to come back to after the hustle and bustle of the city and very close to everything. Felt very safe walking home as you walk past the palace with guards. I would highly recommend Riad Aya.

Room Tip: If you like fruit with breakfast make sure you ask and also remember to ask for milk with your Enlig...

It is very nice, cozy, clean riad. Its located inside medina-old town, therefore everywhere is just walking distance. Staff was brilliant and if you needed anything they were very helpful. We had bed and breakfast and breakfast was typical Moroccan bread freshly made in the morning so i can say that was one of the best breakfast i had in the hotels, simple but good quality.
I would strongly recommend this riad!

Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful 2 day stay 5th - 6th March 2013. Atmosphere, cleanliness, friendliness of staff all excellent. We stayed in the Paprika suite having been upgraded on our arrival and loved the sense of peace we felt there. Only 10 mins walk from main square and souks.
Ate dinner on both evenings and enjoyed it very much - lovely authentic home cooked Morrocan food and plenty of it!!
Received lots of advice and information to help us enjoy our stay in Marrakech as safely and easily as possible

Room Tip: Worth choosing one of the slightly higher priced rooms to get a little more space

We loved staying at the Riad Aya. We directly came from Germany and had never been in an arab country before. In Riad Aya we immediately felt at home. Thanks to Sofia and to all others who work there! They were so friendly, helpful, answered all our questions and gave us helpful advices. The Riad is a place of peace and quietness and a perfect starting point to explore Marrakech. We like to come back - but the next time we will fly direct. On our way back our luggage stayed for one day in Madrid, because Iberia Airways didn't manage to bring the luggage from one delayed maschine to the next delayed maschine...finally we got it at home ....

The staff was very friendly and helped out with everything we requested. They even went out of their way to help us out with little things such as getting bus tickets. The riad is in a convenient location and is very quiet inside. We'd stay there again!

I loved staying at this Riad. The staff, led by Sophie, were polite, helpful and professional. The Riad was clean and everything I wanted from my stay. I found getting around Marrakech was easy and Sophie was able to give any help needed. Although the Riad is tucked away, off of the main street, I always felt very at home walking alone to and from the Riad and around the area. Many of the places I wanted to visit were a short walk away and I had an amazing stay - I can't wait to go back to Marrakech and I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are beautiful, however I loved staying on the first floor, with views down onto the...
