This is one of many fine old houses in the Marrakech medina that has been turned into a guest house for tourists. As such it is a pleasant enough place to stay, but not quite special.
The owner looked in occasionally but for most of the time we were looked after very well by Djamila and her assistant. If you ask the previous day Djamila will cook dinner for you, and her two hearty tagines (one chicken, one vegetable) were very tasty and more than three of us could eat. She also organised our laundry and was always full of good cheer.
One morning there was no orange juice at breakfast - seemingly because the person who normally delivers it had not appeared; and one evening we were disturbed by persistent hammering on the front door by a fellow guest who had gone out without his key - and not been told that there are no staff present overnight. So not quite perfect - and the tip for this place is not to go out without your key.
