“Good accommodation ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

This is a nice play to stay- the pool and the grounds are well kept. It's clean and the staff are very helpful. Reception can book restaurants for you And a shuttle takes you to the near attractions for about £4 a trip.
Downside is that the internet isn't great. You can get a better signal nearer the reception area but it's still slow. The soundtrack played in the pool area is the same all day.

Breakfast is the same every day which is eggs, variety of breads, jam and fruit- but it's nice. Especially the fresh orange juice. If you eat lunch at the hotel the food isn't bad but is quite expensive for what it is- but then a lot of Marrakech is expensive.

Would definitely recommend staying here. It is further out which can be a pain for eating choices, but it's actually nice to be away from the madness of the centre. It really is a very well maintained riad with good standards.

My husband and I were looking forward to our stay at La Mason des Oliviers based on other people's reviews. But we were quite disappointed for the following reasons: 1) the room was more like a 3 star hotel room with basic toiletry and no mini fridge; 2) the airport transfer the hotel charges should be 5 euros (50 dirham) not 10 euros since it was about the same distance as going to the city centre which they charge 5 euros; 3) there is only one restaurant, not two as mentioned in there website and their food is not worth what they charge; and 4) there was several strands of pubic hair on the bed which really made me doubt the cleanliness of the room. They really do take good care of the exterior so it is beautiful and the poolside is lovely. If you decide to stay, I would recommend booking just B&B and try out lots of nice restaurants in the city centre. Otherwise, the restaurant/cafe Bladna on the main road next to the petrol station (5 min walk from the hotel) has good food and a nice big garden dining area.

Thoroughly relaxing week. The hotel staff were very helpful, the shuttle service from and to the airport was efficient and cheap. Only 10 minutes by taxi into Marrakesh, well worth for the cost and the quiet and large surroundings, which you probably do not get in the city centre. We went half board and the food was excellent. The Moroccan wine is interesting .. but the Mojitos are the best I have ever had!

The bedrooms are large and very clean, the showers excellent. The spa was reasonably priced and the massage we had included with our room rate was over an hour long and excellent.

I thoroughly recommend you ask for Omar as your taxi driver, he was very helpful and would wait for us and guide us to the best places.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a terrace - great for the evenings.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful and our room was pleasant, clean and had a great view. The shuttle service was prompt and friendly and if you speak a little french the drivers can give you some great tips about some of Marrakech's hidden jems! The resort is about 20 minutes out of the city centre and easy to get to by taxi or the hotel's shuttle service (the latter is much cheaper).

The pool area was fantastic and had plenty of space for all to lounge around (including four poster sunbeds), the pool itself was clean and well maintained.

However, food/drinks and spa were very overpriced and below the overall standard you find once you venture into the city centre.

If you are looking to stay in a resort without exploring the city too much then this would be ideal as it provides most services. However, if you want the best of what Marrakech has to offer (and at better value) then exploring further out is definitely a must!

Great hotel for relaxing. Very quiet and the perfect get away for a few nights. Well maintained grounds and pool, good food and comfortable rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Airport shuttle provided is great and good value at 5 euros. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone. I would recommend at least half board as there is nothing near by in terms of restaurants. This hotel is about half an hour taxi ride from the centre of Marrakech.

My friend and I have just returned from a three night stay at this lovely hotel, we booked on line and were not disappointed Our room was big and airy and clean (check your booking though we booked a twin and got a double !!) The staff were so helpful nothing was too much trouble from booking spa treatments at a time to suit us to booking tours and trips to the Medina The breakfast was varied and plentiful we also had bar snacks and evening meals all of which were to a high standard
The surrounding area is still under development and some areas are quite shocking as regards to the poverty but the money tourist spend will help them
I would like to return one day

My friend and I returned last night from a 5 night stay at this lovely hotel. We were a little anxious about our visit and did a lot of research on trip advisor before deciding which hotel to stay at. We were not disappointed by what we found. The hotel is very private and made up of small complexes so it feels very intimate.the overall decor was very Moroccan, with lanterns dotted all over the place. Our room was basic but the bed and pillows were very comfortable. It could be improved by having a shower curtain in the shower as the whole bathroom was soaked after each shower!! There could also be some more traditional soft furnishings to make it feel cosier. We had heating which was a must as the evenings were chilly and we did have 2 very overcast, cold days.
The French speaking staff were beyond friendly and helpful from the chamber maids through to the waiting staff and reception staff. Although the pool bar menus were translated into English the main restaurant menu wasn't and this might have made life a little easier.
There is a shuttle bus which runs as often as you need for 25D to the main town and Souke area, and again if you want to re arrange pick up times the staff are more than happy to help.
On Sunday we used the Spa facilities and although the facial May not be what we are used to at home the scrub down and massage were excellent.
There were a few issues with internet connections but this is to be expected I think when you travel to theses sort of countries.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone, friends, couples and families. Relax in the lovely surroundings of the hotel and then go and join in with all the mayhem, noise and hustle n bustle of the Souke in the old town.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 508 near the pool, I believe there are larger suites there and also some that have...
