“Our Moroccan Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2012

We stayed here after New Year. The service was excellent, as soon as we arrived we were upgraded to the Garden Suite which was a beautiful room. The staff were incredibly friendly and couldn't do more to help us. The hotel facilities are superb and it is 15km from the city centre with a very handy shuttle service into Marrakesh.

We stayed at this hotel for one night after driving around the south for a week, to avoid having to drive and park in the city. The hotel is on the road to Ourika, in the outskirts of Marrakech, but quite close to Djemaa el Fna and the southern part of the medina. It was exactly what we needed to relax before our flight home; both the room and the hotel itself with its gardens were beautiful, and we had our best meal in Morocco in the equally beautiful restaurant. Everything is decorated with lots of style and good taste, and it must be fantastic when it's sunny and you can actually use the pool (it was cold and rainy during our visit). It's true that the location is not perfect if you want to walk around the city all day, but on the other hand it's wonderfully quiet, which cannot be said about the hotels inside the city!

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in November 2011. It truly is a beautiful hotel!
It's seems to be fairly newly built and encapsulates everything you expect about Marrakech.
We had a beautiful and large bedroom with separate living area and huge bathroom with a domes ceiling. The windows are all stained glass and the balcony gives a good view over the grounds. There are only thirty rooms and about half those were being used so its very quiet... Perhaps a little too quiet.
The main pool area is lovely with comfortable luxurious beds all around. There is beautiful lighting all around the hotel resort and the restaurant and bar area have a decadent yet authentic feel.
I would definitely go back to this hotel but there are some draw backs.
Firstly is the location, there are better located hotels and this one is set by a very run down residential area up a dirt track. The shuttle bus could get pricey if used every day... There is literally nothing else around and nowhere to go so you do end up going into Marrakech.
The first language of pretty much everyone we met is French and English plays a third to Arabic so it's helpful to know a bit of French.
There are no information packs in the hotel rooms and no hairdryer, there isn't a mini bar but a bottle of water is provided at the start and not replaced. There is no onsite shop so if you want any extra soft drinks you'd need to go to the supermarket. There is nowhere to buy alcohol other than the hotels.
The food at the hotel is very nice although we didn't eat there much as it is quite pricey. The breakfast is very sweet with donuts, picklets and various friend pastry things. There's no egg or meat etc. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and there is tea and coffee including the moroccan mint tea (way to sweet for my liking).
The hotel transfer is about 15minutes and I'd recommend booking the hotel bus as it's 50dirhams per person where as a tax will charge 250.

In short the hotel is great if you want a chilled and quiet stay. If yo want the opposite another location would suit you better, either way I think it's definitely good value for money!!

Great Hotel!! stayed here for 4 night recently and the staff were great, the pool and rooms are very clean and well maintained, the only thing I would complain about is that the mini bus that takes you to town and back can be expensive after a while but apart from that everything else is amazing!! the food is so nice and fresh, great breakfast each morning! overall I would reccomend this hotel to eveyone!

My friend and I have just returned from 4 nights in this hotel. The hotel is beautiful, far better than we're used to staying in and on arrival we were upgraded to a suite, which made it even more enjoyable. The suite was big, with a beatiful bathroom, and private garden. The linens were all good quality and the air con was very effective.
We spent 3 of our 4 days lounging by the pool, as we'd already spent 4 days in a Riad in Marrakech, and therefore only went back in once to buy some more goodies! Therefore location wasn't an issue for us, as we didn't really want to leave.
We stayed half board, which saved us a lot of money as the food is a lot more pricey than you'll find in the centre of Marrakech. All the food was good quality though, and we had no problems. A typical one course lunch would cost between 90-150dirham and evening meals are 3 courses only for 200-250 dirham, which is a lot when we were eating for around 50dirham each in Marrakech. If you plan on eating in the hotel, I would definitely recommend going half or full board.
The shuttle bus into marrakech takes about 15 minutes and runs fairly regularly (costs 25dirham per person each way).
The pool area is lovely, as other reviews have said, the pool is cold but once you're in it's fine. The staff are all very friendly, and happy to talk to you and answer any questions. They do appear more friendly with the french guests, but that's probably just because language is not a barrier! That said, the english of all of the reception staff and waiters is good enough. We were embarrassed that our attempts at speaking in french were always returned with replies in english.
We made use of the Hammam aswell, which was amazing, and a good way for us to get rid of the grime of the desert from our skin! For a hammam and gommage, full body massage and facial it costs 500dirham, which is well worth it!

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you aren't too bothered about going into Marrakech, as I can see having to get the shuttle every day being expensive and annoying.

What a beautiful hotel. This hotel is located a bit outside the center of Marrakech and is accessible by a long dirt road. Once you pull into the property, you will see a beautiful hotel with an estremely friendly and helpful staff. There were 5 of us traveling and had two rooms. The suite was fairly large with a large shower and WC. The pool was very nice although a bit cold but once you got in it was fine. We had breakfast and lunch on both days of our stay. The lunch is put out continental style and we ordered off the menu at lunch time and dined by the pool. There were 5 of us and I have to say that all of our lunches were absolutely fantastic on both days! We are all "foodies" and recognize good food when we taste it. Everything was fresh, simple, and beautifully presented and delicious! The entire staff were the utmost friendly, helpful, and professional. We had the opportunity to meet the owner of the property as well. He was very friendly as well.

Room Tip: It all depends on your traveling situation. We were 3 friends staying in one room so we paid extra...

My wife and I have just returned from a short break at this hotel.

It is very pretty with friendly staff. We booked a standard room and this fell far short of four star standards in our opinion. It was very small and felt claustrophobic with no outside space. We asked to change rooms and were given a nice suite with a small balcony (although too small to sit out on). The hotel is as stated by many people literally in the middle of nowhere and if you don't have a car you are completely dependant on taxis or the unreliable shuttle service that left us stranded in the middle of Marakech in intense heat!

The hotel charge a government tax at approximately £3 per person per night, which they don't tell you about and if you are a family and are there for several nights could work out quite expensive, I feel they should inform guests either on arrival or it should be made clearer when booking. We booked half board and the food was quite good, however, and this was the main problem to us the drinks are extremely expensive, approx £2.75 for a can of diet coke, £4 for a small and only 3/4 full glass of wine and £16 for a bottle of wine! The bottled water was very over priced too which is very unfair as you need lots of water in the extreme heat of Marrakech. It would be a good idea if the hotel put together a drinks package or looked again at their prices.

Marrakech itself was as expected, completely mad! Be prepared for the most hassle you will have exerienced anywhere, we have travelled lots and are used to being harrassed particularly in places like Egypt and Turkey but this was far worse than anything we have experienced. If you can ignore all this then the medina is a fascinating place. If you are an animal lover you may find it really difficult, we saw monkeys on chains, very under fed donkeys and lame horses being cruelly whipped. This took the edge of the atmosphere for us and left a bad taste in our mouths.

Room Tip: Spend a little more and book a suite
