We had a lovely week here and know that we chose the best riad in the heart of the medina. The actual place is a little slice of heaven, a beautiful colourful courtyard with five large bedrooms, all impeccably decorated. The service was great and Chantal and Aziz wonderful hosts. We will definately return next year!

We stayed at the Riad Dalla Santa for a week in September to celebrate my birthday

Chantal and Aziz were very hospitable kind and friendly and even made me a birthday cake!

I would recommend a stay here to everyone but would recommend learning some conversational french before your stay as neither speak English so we got by via sign language!

Riad dalla Santa is fantastic if you want to stay somewhere right in the heart of the action. It is a big plus that Aziz will pick you up from the airport as arguing with taxi drivers about addresses and the price can be daunting on your first trip out to Marrakech. Chantal will welcome you into the Riad with mint tea and pastries.

The rooms are adequate with a bed, shower and toilet. Lighting can be a bit funny as on my last morning there was a power dip and had to get dressed in the dark.

The best bit is the roof terrace. You can request breakfast up here and are left in peace whilst you eat, sunbathe, reading your book or play with Bob the tortoise. No idea what the tortoise is called but we had a great time playing with him and watching him charge about. Just watch out for those toes- he has a foot fetish and will attempt to bite them if he gets the chance!

From the begining Chantal and Aziz welcomed us as if we were part of the family, not only is the riad beautiful, the food is absolutley outstanding (we actually thought our 1st course was our main course as it was so big) and whilst they spoke little english and we spoke little french, we still had a really great time with them, and would definately return. They went out of their way for everything, actually walking us to resturants, chemist, taking us to the airport etc. We really enjoyed staying here.
The rooms are lovely, as is the roof terrace (look out for the tortise) there guest book had nothing but fantastic reviews and you really can understand why. Its in a great location, couple of minutes walk from the centre
