First of all, it’s necessary to say that the location of Riad Noir d’Ivoir was chosen absolutely perfectly. Walking through Medina, you see how this part of the world was left untouched to preserve its ancient beauty: people sell fresh food, cloths, and accessories just like in movies, women wear burkas and are extremely careful and shy, and curious dark-eyed kids run around and giggle seeing tourists. To get to the hotel you have to wander through high and totally blind walls of private mansions, which make you feel a bit fearsome, but this feeling disappears immediately when you open the door of the hotel…
From the moment we stepped into Riad Noir d’Ivoir, we dived into a fairytale - a gorgeous design, mysterious lightening and the waterfall made the hotel absolutely magical and welcomed us to share its Moroccan beauty. The design is just WOW!!! The staff was sweet and ready to serve any time of the day and night. The gorgeous hostess of the place Rebecca and her assistant Damian took care of all our needs and desires organizing spas, shopping, making restaurant reservations, city tours and many other things.
My main cuisine craziness included Moroccan pastries for breakfast and Lamb tagine for dinner (the best one I’ve ever had!!!). They also served a yummi home made chocolate ice cream which is another must try - this, combined with a delicious Moroccan champagne, definitely made my early afternoons while I was sunning on the private rooftop. Good thing the hotel had a gym and a gorgeous swimming pool to immediately get rid of the gained calories :)
Anyway, everything was so beautiful, that I didn't even notice that my boyfriend was on the phone for business for quite a while. When he was taking care of business, I was entertained by an absolutely fantastic and funny Rebecca, mingled with the other guests at the bar and enjoyed the spa (the masseuse was so damn good that I booked her for the whole length of our stay). By the way, specially for super busy people, like my significant other, Riad has an office space with lots of privacy, high speed wifi and, of course, beautiful exotic design.
Later on during the day, an amazing excursion and a dinner would be arranged for us, after which we enjoyed our time in a gorgeous suite with an enigmatic name Panthere (need to mention that every room of this hotel is very unique and that's why is given a certain name, like for example Guepard or Elephant).
Anyway, when you and your loved one wake up in a Moroccan fairytale, and from the beginning of the day both of you are treated like king and queen, you never want to leave. Moreover you are given so much privacy and respect that you truly feel like you're actually in your own getaway mansion. We already booked our Panthere for the upcoming spring and are looking forward to it.
Thank you Riad Noir d'Ivoir!
