Me and my husband stayed in Riad Douzi in April 2009 for 3 nights. It was quiet and clean, staff was pretty polite minus few situations which i chalk up to national idiosyncrasies. Only one member of the staff spoke English, rest were totally Arabic/French only. The place itself is hard to find, locates near the Spice Market. Also not a suitable place to stay if you want to go clubbing or generally spend time outside the riad in the night - it's kind of creepy to come back there later in the night because all the streets are lifeless and dark, souqs are closed down and no more people. I wrote a longer review of Riad Douzi in my travel blog: http://sshiksa.blogspot.com/2010/03/monsieur-sofi-part-3.html
