“Beautiful place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

First trip to Marrakech and stayed in the Riad Amin- beautiful! Great location in Kasbah with a 10 min walk to the main square Jemaa el-Fnaa. Beautifully decorated room, with swimming pool and roof top terrace where we had breakfast each morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help with booking, finding and suggesting different places to visit and try out.

Overall fantastic!! A calming sanctuary in the midst of Kasbah mayhem! Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

The location is great (close to the kasbah), the staff (from the owner to all the other guys) are very friendly, welcoming and helpful (thanks!), the room was in Arabic style, quite big, clean and quiet (the shower was very cool!), the breakfast was very enjoyable and serve on the suggestive terrace. 4 simple reasons to come back here!

This was our first trip to Marrakech and we booked four nights at Riad Amin. We prebooked a taxi from the airport and an evening meal at the Riad thanks to excellent email communication from Stephanie. We were warmly greeted by Mouad who served our meal and showed us round the Riad. We had quite a small room off the main courtyard on the ground floor but it had air conditioning and wi fi which was great and we could lounge on the cosy sofas in the public rooms of the riad. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Mouad and the other staff and we were made to feel like we were part of a family. We often retreated to the coolness of the roof terrace in the evenings with a beer after we had returned from our evening meal. We spent three days in Essaouira before returning to the Riad Amin and we were greeted like long lost friends on our return, it felt like we were coming home. The Riad is indeed a quiet calm oasis in the middle of the madness of Marrakech and we would have no hesitation in staying here again, the staff are wonderful.

We spent the best nights of our trip to Morocco at this Riad. The manager and staff will make your stay unforgettable. They were very helpful and accommodating. The décor is professionally done and very Moroccan. The room was perfect, very clean, and comfortable. The Riad is big and has a lot of of places to relax at the end of the day. It has two plunge pools where we soaked our tired feet at night. The manager(she spoke very good English) answered our questions and gave advise about the area. The location is excellent and a short walk from all the action. Eating breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a great way to start our day. I would recommend this Riad to anyone staying in Marrakesh.

Room Tip: We needed a bigger room for 3 adults and we received a queen and a twin bed. The bathroom was huge.

The only godd things I could say about riad amin is that is a nice place (not very nice, just nice) and that the landlady is very kind. Anything more.
Bad spots:
1. The staff is very bad mannered (with the exception of a blond frech girl at the reception). At 7.30 in the morning they start making noise: high volume radio, shouting and so on. The fact is that they want you to wake up in order to serve you breakfast and have enough time to hang around; if you ask anything they always seem annoyed
2. Not clean. Sheets were dirty, I asked them to change, they said "ok" but they didn't.
3. The "swimming pool" is a puddle of mud, full of dirt ... I've been there two days and they never cleaned it.

Didn't like it at all.

Room Tip: If you want a good room ... find another riad!

It looks that the Riad will offer you a friendly and nice place... but you must take care about their conditions. They are some old equiments they haven´t have or remove. The place looks a lovely hotel and the workers are very good, but not the owner, who tried to sell all kind of services but more expensive as outside. Decide by yourself!

Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming. The facilities were of a premium standard. The staff practically made the experience with their accommodating nature and helpful services. The location was perfect for us as the main market is a five minute walk (not far at all) but the Riad was tucked within a quieter area, ideal for escaping the heat and chaos whilst remaining in the old city. I highly recommend it!! :)
