“A corner of paradise in the Medina”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2009

As soon as we arrived in the riad, we were struck by the exotic atmosphere and the warm welcome. The first thing we saw was the delightful and frangrant patio, leading onto a very tasteful dinin groom. Our room (Oasis) was decorated in lovely shades of green and yellow and the terrace on the top floor was a real delight. We recommend this riad in particular for those looking for excellent cuisine (beautifully presented), impeccable service and serenity. We will definitely go back!

We stayed at the riad for one week and it was most plesant. The rom was clean, lovly and it was a quiet and peacefull place. The staff was very helpfull and serviceminded. The italien owners showed us the Medina and was very helpsful. When my lugage was lost they whent to the aireport to help us find it. The Riad also rekomanded daytrips and organised them for us. We would recommend this Riad to our friends and family with no doubt.

A little pearl in the more secluded part of the Medina, although only 15 min walk to Jema al Fna. Amazing place, beautifully decorated in the old Moroccan style with very attentive staff.
All your wishes are fulfilled upon request without any hassle. Very friendly staff, Fatima a goddess in the kitchen, Abdil and Mahmood just brilliant and very comforting.
Endless nights on the roof terrace with views over Marrakesh, having long discussions about Morocco and its differences to the rest of North Africa and our live with the guys.
Would come back any time and recommend to all my friend without hesitation.
Thanks guys and hope to see you all soon again. In shallah. Yours Arwen and Peter.

We were in Marrakech for 8 wonderful nights in our honeymoon and I wanted our stay to be perfect. Before choosing Riad Sable Chaud I made a thorough research on the internet, not only on tripadvisor. Nobody could be disappointed for staying in this wonderful place.
Abdel gave us a very warm welcome and helped us planing our excursions and visits in and around Marrakech. Samira and Fatima cooked our breakfast that was served on the beautiful terrace. The breakfast was very good and never the same. Said is also very friendly and helpful.
The riad is very nicely decorated and very clean. The atmosphere is great. Now I understand why so many say it is an Oasis.
Thanks again Riad Sable Chaud! Hope to see you soon.

We visited Marrakech as a group of 4 couples and took over the 4 available rooms. The Riad is within the Medina walls so be prepared for a bustling short walk to it from the taxi - but far better to be here than outside the walls in a hotel - and the walk just helped to create the atmosphere for our 3 night stay.

You cannot fault the quality of the Riad at all, each room was very nicely laid out, clean, and modern. We were catered for extremely well by Abdel, Mohammed and Francesco. Abdel communicated well with myself by email before we arrived, organising taxis (Smilie recommended) and a guide for a tour of the Medina (Omar, also recommended) along with a trip to the Atlas mountains (Smilie again!).

We ate at the hotel each breakfast (they don't let you go hungry) and had one evening meal there as well which we couldn't fault. Other restaurants were recommended for us which we duly took up.

The Riad is about 15 minutes walk from Djiamaa El Fnaa square and a shorter distance to the beginning of the Souks. We all felt completely safe during our stay and it was certainly helped by the quality of this Riad and the staff that run it.

Stepping through the door into Riad Sable Chaud is like entering another world. You leave behind the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and enter a beautiful and tranquil place. The staff are so welcoming and are always there for anything you need. The rooms are furnished tastefully and the air-con is very efficient! The temparature was much higher than we expected (35C in early May) so it was very much appreciated. Riad Sable Chaud lived up to our expectations, and much, much more! The location is basic Marrakech, not a tourist area, but it is only a short walk to the Souks and La Place. Our 5 days there are unforgettable and we will certainly return! Breakfast on the roof-top terrace is the most wonderful experience and sets you up for the day.

It''s probably not a good place for children, but is ideal for adults who want to relax in a fabulous atmosphere.

Our trip to Marrakech was a last-minute decision. We literally booked our tickets 10 hours before flight and selected this hotel based on the reviews we saw here on Tripadvisor. The riad lived up to the hype!

The room was big and opened up to the riad's rustic courtyard. Very quiet, even though the riad is situated in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech's old town. Breakfast was served on the rooftop where one could take in nice views of the town.

Owners and staff always had a smile on their face and were more than willing to dispense with their knowledge of the city. They sent us to a few good restaurants and the spa they recommended was quite good too. They even treated us to a home-style meal of cous-cous!
