“One of the reason to go back to MARRAKECH”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

It is absolutely cool place with a sophisticated taste. It was a pity we could stay only a night, otherwise I would just stay inside to chill out whole day long. Thanks again to the owner Oliver for arranging the extra room without extra charge and gave us the useful suggestion for visiting Marrakech.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staffs were very kind and helpful. Anything we needed were provided. Breakfast served are delicious. The juice served are delicious and fresh. Highly recommend anyone visiting Marrakech should stay here.

Stayed here back in November with a friend. Lots of other people have written incredibly detailed reviews here and I probably experienced all the positives that have already been mentioned. The breakfast was amazing (could never finish it once!) with super fresh bread and orange juice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I loved chatting with them. We used the jacuzzi one afternoon after a much longer walk than expected (OK so, we got really lost - top tip, don't follow the red signs back to the square if you're on the north side of it, you get taken on a crazy circular route and we ended up pretty much outside the Riad accidentally which was on the south, without going through the square!) which was a great touch and very relaxing. Being taken on a walk to the square when we first arrived to show us how to get there and back was extremely helpful and appreciated! Rooms were beautifully decorated and cool, bathrooms a touch on the small side but if that's the worst of your problems, you don't have too much to worry about! No problem with leaving our bags while we went on an overnight excursion. I would recommend this Riad to anyone and wouldn't think about booking anywhere else if I return to Marrakech.

We stayed at Riad Dar Najat for six days at the end of December/beginning of January. When we arrived, they greeted us with a beverage (the orange juice and the mint tea are exceptional) and walked us to Jemaa el Fna so we could get our bearings. They were extremely helpful - they made reservations for us, provided us with water, arranged taxis, etc. Also, we didn't use it, but they have a jacuzzi which they will heat for you if you ask four hours in advance. I 100% recommend this riad. And I recommend you have at least one dinner there too because the food at Dar Najat Kitchen is AMAZING!

We could just say 'ditto' to all the other brilliant reviews. Everything about the Dar Najat is excellent but Oliver and all his team make it exceptional. We couldn't have received a better welcome and for friendliness and service it is the best.

During our visit we were celebrating a birthday and following email's to Oliver all our requests were met, making the occasion extra special. Thank you to all the team for a great stay.

Last november (2013) I had the pleasure of visiting Marrakech. I was attending an international conference wich took place in a luxurious hotel on the outskirts of the city. Instead of staying there I decided to find a nice and homely riad in the old medina: Luckily I stumbled upon Riad Dar Najat. Me and my wife stayed there for three nights. Everything met our expectations: clean room, good service, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff. Transport was arranged and good advice given concerning how to go about things in the old medina. I give the Riad Dar Najat and the staff there my best recommendation.

There is not much to add to the other positive reviews, but I want to point out a few things that were really impressive:

1. Even before we arrived, I had a lot of correspondence with Olli about transport and even things to do in Morocco. Olli was particularly honest about what he thought we should do and, in retrospect, was absolutely right about his advice (even though we went a different way given we had been sick).

2. So, we got sick coming into Marrakech - a Paris flu, I think, as it hit us on the plane - and we were really sick. We could hardly move for five or six days. We got up in the afternoon and they would make us breakfast, they offered to call doctors and nurses and whatever else we needed, and they would even bring us down water to make sure we were going ok. The most impressive act was when we asked, out of interest, whether they had any Sprite - they didn't - and they went and ran to the store and got us some (if you feel like you're reading this twice, my girlfriend's review is below). That is going above and beyond.

3. Little things like walking you to the market for the first time is fantastic. It can be a bit daunting otherwise.

4. We really liked the location - it was very close to everything, but far enough away that you were out of the hustle and bustle. Perfect.

5. We did feel like we were at home. They must have hundreds of guests through their each month but, although admittedly we probably ended up staying longer than most, we felt like we were their only guests and they truly did care. Having spoken to Olli I know that is the approach he takes and it is worth staying there just for the approach of Olli and his lovely staff.
