“Faultless service from Oliver and his outstanding staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

We stayed for 3 nights in August following by 6 nights in Oliver's other Riad located by the beach in Essoauira. Oliver organised all our transfers in an air-conditioned minibus driven by Abdul who spoke very good english and took us to many attractions. With 4 children aged between 11 and 16 we needed to accommodate many requirements. Firstly we thought our teenage daughter would want her own room but on arriving so late at night she decided she wanted her eldest brother to share her room. Although it was 10pm the staff changed rooms and reconfigured double beds into single beds to suit all the children's needs. The manager then accompanied us to the main square so that we could get our bearings and advised us how to return to the Riad without getting lost in the back streets.
The following morning Oliver came to see us to see how he could help with our itinerary. It was very hot but wanted to make the most of our 3 days. Oliver made many suggestions and advised us what price we should be paying for each activity which was really helpful as you have to barter for everything in Marrakech!
Overall the Riad was extremely clean, rooms spacious, food fantastic, jacuzzi very welcoming at any time of the day or night and the staff very friendly and genuinely eager to please all the family. Would definitely return with or without the children!!

Dar Najat was a great place to stay. I'd recommend it to anyone traveling to Marrakech. The owner makes you really feel at home and his staff is top notch. If you stay here you MUST try and eat dinner on the roof top one night. Best meal I've had in a long while.

My husband Jorge and I stayed during the last week of July. Needless to say, the heat in Marrakech was intense, but we were glad to see that the room had wonderful air conditioning and the house itself is like a cool oasis and an amazing experience. Oliver has done a wonderful jb decorating the place, and he is a magnificent and attentive host, as is the rest of his staff from Mumu, Amina, Abdul, etc.

We highly recommend doing dinner at the hotel at least a couple of times, as the food is delicious and the service is superb.

We recommend you arrange with the hotel to be picked up at the airport as it is difficult to find on your own, and the taxi can only take you so far. Be sure to check what the local time is in Marrocco to avoid confusion.

We highly recommend Dar Najat to anyone looking for a great holiday in Marrakech!

We stayed for 2 nights in this riad and we were satisfied by everything here. The french guy who manages the place (I guess his name is Ollie but can't be sure!) was fairly spot on with his advice and opinions and matched my observations about Marrakech. Moroccans who run riads generally just give you generic advice and won't give you an honest opinion about what to do and where to eat but I think you can trust Ollie's advice which was a nice change. The riad was nice and pretty cosy with a jacuzzi which was good to relax in at the end of a tiring day. Our room was clean and the aircon worked really well. Just make sure you confirm beforehand that your room has a tv if that is important to you because our room did not. The service from the other staff was great and friendly even though they could only speak arabic, french and basic english. I would recommend this riad to other travellers.

We have been the first time to Marrakesch and it was the best Thing to choose the Riad dar najat as accomodation.
It is located in the middle of the medina, not far away of the great market place and if wanted to flee from the trouble we just walked about 5 minutes back to the Riad.
The room was clean and delightful equipped and were refreshingly cool.
The staff were very nice friendly and funny. Speacially Oliver is a nice companion to talk to about Marrakesch and to get good advices for the stay there.
All together it was a good fun to stay there and we would not forget the familial surrounding there.
Have to come back!

We stayed for two nights at the Riad Dar Najat and were totally happy with our choice. We do not have much to add to the previous reviews, the staff was totally helpful with guiding us to Djemma el Fna (just a 7 min. walk away), organising birthday cake or taxi to the airport. Even at 3am when we had to get up to leave for the airport, they prepared breakfast and accompanied us to the taxi. The Riad is a comfortable, quit place to relax and cool down and escape the hot July sun as well as the city rush. Our room with air-con was spacious, clean and furnished with lots of love to the last detail. We enjoyed staying on the roof terrace to have our breakfast, a bath in the jacuzzi, traditional marroccan mint-tea or relaxing under the sunshade.
Without any doubt or hesitations we would recommend this Riad to all our friends and everyone who wants enjoy this great place in a familiar atmosphere.
Thanks to everyone and we'll be back, inshallah!

We have just returned from a 2 week stay in Morocco of which we stayed our first 2 days and last 6 days in the Najat.
It is as friendlier Boutique Hotel as you could wish to find and in a very good state of repair. Our room was stylish and consistent with the whole Riad and more than spacious enough. The bed very comfortable and the air-con fine.
We had free collection and return to the airport, Olivier allowed us to carry on using our room on the last day to shower and change before our late afternoon departure and we had a gratis Moroccan style meal on the first night.
All the staff were most helpful, Abdul arranged to collect train tickets for us for our trip to Fez and the taxi to the Railway station.
While we are very self sufficient almost everywhere we go (taking GPS devices with us) they were more than happy to lead anyone to the souks or near-by attractions for those who were less sure of themselves. I guess that the Riad is about 450m from Jemaa el-Fnaa (the Square), a few twists and turns and then a wider straight semi covered market path.
Breakfast was our only complaint (a very small complaint). It was large and seemed to keep coming.. We would have preferred a menu to just choose a couple of items. In the end we got through to them that just coffee and toast (or grilled bread) was fine for us.
Evening meals were book-able and tourists from other Riads were coming in for them, which says something about the quality.
We loved to get back, burnt out in the afternoon or early evening and have a beer, or bottle of wine at hand instantly while we cooled our feet in the Jacuzzi.
We will definately stay here again if we return to Marrakech.
Thanks Olivia.
