I'm absoloutly gutted that we only stayed in this Riad for one night, we travelled all around Morocco from Tetoine, tangier to Marrakech, agadir & Tiznit and this was by far the best place we stayed. The 5* hotels are lovely but this riad was personal and pleasing. The staff were lovely and the room was beautiful. I think we stayed in one of the cheaper rooms but honestly it was the nicest room we'd stayed in over our stay in Morroco and some of our hotels consisted of the Sofitel and The Mansour Eddahbi where the king stays but neither had this feeling of relaxation and magic.

The breakfast was a little disapointing for my partner as he likes to eat a hearty breakfast but for me it was just right but i agree they could have done a little more but it was very lovely food all the same.

We were informed by some other guests there that the evening meal was a must but we were only there for one evening and we'd sampled the delights in Jmaa el fna and so lucked out on the meal.

We are going back to Marrakech within the next few months and we'll definately be staying there for a whole week next time.

We'd recommend this place to anyone possibly better without children as there isn't much space for them to run about and be kids but lovely for couples on romantic breaks or single travellers.

It is hard to find once you've left but people are very friendly and help you find your way for a few diram.

We spent a week at El Noujoum at the end of October. What a gem of a place! Seldom have we had this wonderful feeling of pampering with the friendliest and smiliest staff ever encountered. Every wish was immediately fulfilled, nothing was too much. The Riad is some distance from the Djemaa el Fna, about 15 minutes walk. Which is not too bad considering the good and plentiful food of the Moroccan cuisine! We enjoyed our stay enormously and, should we ever revisit Marrakech, will certainly go back there.

We stayed in one of the suites ( Orion ). It did have a fridge unlike that of another review. It was lovely and a very good size. The bathroom was huge, but only had an overbath shower which for this price is not good enough.

Service was very good. The roof terrace was fab, but the swimming pool is for decoration and nothing else. Its freezing and the courtyard gets no sun.

We had dinner in the hotel one night and the food was decent ( no choice ) but overall a very dull experience. Breakfast is no doubt very Morrocan but won't keep you going for long.

The hotel is a good walk from the square and as one other review said can become a tediuous trudge. Some of the reviews say it is down a dingy alley. It may be dingy, but in no way is it unsafe.

If I had stayed in one of the cheaper rooms I would have thought it was a fantastic bargain. Our suite was way overpriced for what you get.

Have no qualms about staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful riad. Although we had some problems finding it! It's in the Kasbah part of the city and so our taxi driver (from essouira) had to ask lots of people before locating it! (head for rue de Kasbah and Bab Agynou)

Once we arrived we were made incredibly welcome. The rooms were gorgeous and very clean, we had a suite with a huge bathroom and a four poster bed! There are tons of areas to relax, a lounge, the roof or by the pool (which is freezing - but refreshing!!) The staff were very friendly and helpful (but sometimes hard to locate!)

Breakfast was included in the price and you can have this anywhere you want - in your bedroom, on the roof.... Dinner can be arranged in the riad as long as you let them know in the morning, We asked at the last minute (not realising we needed to arrange in advance) and they managed to russle us up soup and a simple dinner which was great.

The location is about 15mins walk away from the main square - which isn't so bad, although the streets are manic and it can sometimes feel a bit of a trek after a hard day shopping in the souks!

The Riad itself is very charming and the room was beatifully furnished and very spacious. However, unlike in other Riads we stayed in, no fridge for cold water and no phone - not big problems though. More of an issue was the sudden announcement, when we returned late to the Riad on our last night, that we would not be able to pay with a Visa for our 3 night stay. The "night staff" (seems to work 7pm til 9am i.e. the times you might actually want some staff help) doesn't know how to use the Visa machine (he also didn't know where the iron was kept). The person who does know how to use the Visa machine won't be in until late the next morning, before which we have to check out. The only solution the member of staff could think of was for us to go and get cash - a 30 min round trip walking. Sending your customers out to pick up 600 dollars in cash at 1am is just not on guys. I'm sure whoever owns this place would agree and should get this situation sorted.
