My boyfriend and I stayed here last week for 5 nights.
Before arriving in Marrakech, I had emailed Jean Peres, the owner of the Riad, who organised transport to and from the hotel at a reasonable price.
The driver met us at the airport and took us to the main road near the Riad. From there we were met by another gentleman who lead us down a little alleyway away from the main road and to the Riad - the noise disappeared as soon as you walked down the steps to the alleyway!
As soon as you entered the Riad, it was just so peaceful and beautiful. I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere so quiet. We were met by Jean who told us to come down from our room as soon as we were ready for a chat over some mint tea (which you would no doubt have A LOT of in Marrakech- their "whisky" as they call it! We went to our gorgeous room, the Petit Prince, which was small but not by any means too small. It was big enough for us! The bed and the bedding was also SO comfy.
We went downstairs after putting away our things, and then Jean talked us through some things we might like to see and do while marking things clearly on a map so we didn't ever get too lost (of course you would get lost in Marrakech but its part of the fun!). He also told us about a lovely restaurant nearby where we could get some dinner that evening, as we arrived around 5pm.
Throughout the week, everyone was really helpful at this hotel, and everything was fantastic. Breakfast was brought up to the roof terrace if you wanted to, excursions were planned if you wanted them, and we were even driven by Jean to the cookery course that they offer (which I highly recommend!)
The cookery course was brilliant, we were escorted by the lovely cook to the spice market, and then to the fruit and veg market to get our ingredients for what we wanted to cook. Then Jean picked us up and took us to a beautiful house outside of Marrakech's madness, where we could relax after cooking and eating. There is a pool if you want to swim as well. Thank you for this day it was lovely!
I would also recommend doing the trip to the mountains. This trip was organised for us and we were taken up to the mountains by a private driver, and met by someone else who took us up to the waterfalls safely. I would warn though to make sure to have appropriate footwear- trainers or walking shoes definitely, otherwise you might hurt yourself as it is really rocky and steep getting up to the waterfalls.
Everything about this place is brilliant, and for a smooth and relaxing stay in a busy and crazy city it is perfect. One thing that is always reassuring as well is how safe we felt staying here. The service is fantastic, at any time you need any help there would always be someone there.
We loved visiting, and I would love to return again one day. Thank you for looking after us!
