“quiet place in a busy city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

this is a good place to relax after the hustle and bustle of the madina.the staff are frendly and aiden helpfull.we would recomend having a guide for at least a day as you could spend all day wondering around and missing things, ask for mohamed we had him for two days and he was fantastic, very informative and excellent english.we were only on b and b basis but the breakfast was very good, set you up well for the day.location is also good close to the souks and square.would deffinatley stay here again.it is also surprisingly quiet at night considering youre in the middle of it all.

Having been to Marrakech more than once, Marrakech is still an eye opener to me. The city is the real tale of two! with the old medena and the new very European quarter.
Les Trois Mages is hidden away in the medena, and from the moment the entrance door opens is a haven away from the hassle and bussle of the streets. From the courtyard you can view straight to the blue sky above and the reason you came here, relaxation and the more than warm winter sun, which can be taken advantage of on the roof terrace.
During our 5 night stay we were looked after very well by all the staff, morning noon and night. Morning it was breakfast on the roof terrace, noon tea or coffee also on the roof terrace and in the evening after being out for dinner, coffee in the sitting area next to a beautiful log fire.
We stayed in two rooms during our stay, the Arabeque and the Bahia Suite, both lovely rooms to stay in, though the Bahia is the one to stay in if you can, the bed is something special.
My best stay to date in Marrakech and probably not the last at les Trois Mages.
This was my partners first stay in the medena itself, and though she was not too sure about being there, the riad made it all worth while.
Thank you all again at Les Trois Mages for making our 50th birthdays treat so special. And thank you Aidan for the flowers in the room you sorted for me for Andrea.
A real little gem worth every penny.
Andrea and Steve, now in cold UK.

This is a great place . We stayed 3 nights and wished we had booked four ( or more). Taxi from airport doesn't take long and should be booked in advance through the Riad. The rooms are lovely and there are several places to relax including the roof. We had the Bahia suite which we loved but feel sure that all rooms would be good. We ate lunch and dinner - both were very good and the food was plentiful. Staff are very good and friendly. For Marrakech first-timers, take advantage of the walking tour - an easy introduction to the Medina maze.
Location is excellent - a short walk from the main square but not in a tourist street so surrounded by good, safe, local life.In the other direction, just a few minutes walk away, are the city walls and quick access to the new town.
This is an ideal place for a city break , made easier by no time differenece to UK when we visited in November.

Room Tip: Rooms on first floor probaly provide most privacy as the others open out on tot the lovely courtyard...

We stayed at Riad Les Trois Mages with 2 other couples as a celebration of my wife's 50th birthday. The 3 night stay was a delight and Aidan and his staff were superb throughout. The location is right in the middle of the action so to speak as it is within the walls of the old town and easy walking distance of the Souks and renowned El Fna Square with its bustling and manic medina. Marrakech is not for the faint hearted as it really is like going back in time and poverty and hardship is there for all to see. It was safe though although at times slightly intimidating but that added to the excitement and atmosphere. The riad is gorgeous. Food superb. Staff could not do enough for you and Aidan knows all there is to know. He arranged for us to spend a day in the Atlas Mountains following the Berber Trail....it was one of the most amazing day trips we have ever taken and we have been to places like Thailand, Vietnam, Kenya and Dubai New York etc so have seen both sides of the way people live. To sum up Marrakech...it is a must place to visit and Les Trois Mages Riad played a big part in us having a superb time.

Room Tip: Check out their website as they have a choice of rooms. We stayed in the Bahia Suite. It was superb...

Really lovely riad - beautiful rooms - lovely people. Would definitely recommend. Hot water, mint tea and coffee available throughout the day. Lovely breakfasts. A pleasure to stay there. The riad was approx a 15 minute walk to the medina which means you are nicely away from the hustle and bustle, but not great if you want to be a really short walk away from the sights.

Room Tip: Rooms on the ground floor are a bit lacking in privacy - if I went back, I would ask not to be on th...

My friend and I returned two years on for a repeat stay at Les Trois Mages, for a couple of nights. Though the weather wasn't great we still had a wonderful time, with a helpful transfer courtesy of Hassan, another of Saida's fabulous dinners, and a good night's sleep. Sorry that we cou.ld not go to Kasbah Toubkal, as my friend was unwell, but the staff at les 3 Mages could not have been more helpful or concerned. The usual peaceful and calm atmosphere soon made her feel better, and now, with unfinished business in Marrakech. Once again. We are already looking forward to our next trip.

Reading all the other Tripadvisor reviews our expectations were obviously high.Well there was no need for concern, this Riad is a gem.My wife and I spent four nights in The Bahia suite.Everything was organised perfectly. We had dinner on the first night the food was delicious. The following morning Aiden the manager had sorted a local tour guide, she was invaluable as this was our first experience of what is the chaotic charm that is Marrakesh. We also fond the city tour bus great and excellent value for money. The Riad was the most perfect place to relax after a long day in the city.We asked Aiden could he recommend a nice restaurant,he suggested the Dar Yacout, that was perfect.I said to my wife after a couple of days at the Riad,it was like staying with old friends it is that friendly. The breakfast was superb with a good choice, and perfectly cooked,we took ours on the roof terrace, what a fabulous way to start the day.To sum up,the staff at the Riad gave us the most wonderful time,I would like to thank them all.
