“Absolutley gorgeous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2008

My friend and I chose to stay here for our last night in Morocco as we wanted to experience a little luxury. We were not disappointed. The riad is beautifully decorated. Our room had a gorgeous hamman-style bathroom completely decked out with robes, slippers, musk soaps and the like. The room contained written info about activities they could organise for us. The staff were especially warm and friendly. We had a fantastic meal on the roof-top terrace. The location was close enough to the souks and market but not right in the very thick of things. The manager organised our transfer to the airport (included in our stay I do believe). When we realised we needed a little more cash to settle our bill the manager even took my friend for a ride on his mo-ped to the closest ATM. What a thrill! Would most certainly recommend.

It's an oasis in the overwhelming sights, sounds and smells that make Marrakesh unique.
The perfect place to relax, unbelievably close to the souks and Djemaa el-Fna, yet peaceful and romantic.
The staff could not be more friendly and helpful-the Hammam an amazing experience.........a place to go with a lover, with friends, for a special occasion or even alone, to experience Marrakesh at its best.

  • Liked — tranquility
  • Disliked — heat in the midday sun-but luckily the bedrooms are cool!

As a traveller I am use to Marrakech and I have to say that the Riad Tizwa is just fantastic.
I usually spend most of my time in the Souk or in the city but this time I felt so confortable in the Riad Tizwa that it was difficult to simply just go out.
I really appreciate the warm and authentic welcoming from the staff who always been present but discret always very please to help me in my day and even organise me a lovely busyness diner on the terrasse at night.
The hamam on the groud floor is the extra of the Riad and its heaten with wood, the bieutician was always on time and Aziza's cuisine is as fresh as delicious.
the Riad is also well located and the prices resonable.
What is really good about the Riad Tizwa is that it really feel like going in a friend's house without the arguments !!
Go for it !!

Spent a couple of nights in this beautiful riad which felt like a 'home away from home', I couldn't wait to get back there at the end of a long hot day walking around the medina. The place is very peaceful, the rooms are beautifuly decorated - straight out of an Elle Deco magazine and they are also really comfortable. The staff made my stay really special, they are very welcoming and friendly (lots of smiley faces). The riad is lit at night by candles and covered in different colours of rose petals. Very romantic... If you fancy going to a special place with your other half this is the place for you. You won't be disappointed...

  • Liked — it doesn't feel like a hotel, more like a home away from home
  • Disliked — nothing - it's perfect

I read a lot of good comments on Riad Tizwa on Trip Advisor and that is the reason why I booked this hotel for myself, my boyfriend and our friends. We only had half a day in Marrakech and arrived at the Riad around 4pm. A warm welcome with mint tea was given to us which was absolutely lovely. We were all delighted with the Riad, the design and interior is so gorgeous that I wish to have my future house decorated like it! The atmosphere is so peaceful, although we may have kept some people awake as we had so much fun with the shisha pipe you can rent at the Riad!!! A few comments need to be made though; we had a plane to catch at 9am and we booked our breakfast for 630am and a taxi (which was organised by the Riad) for 7am. However, breakfast was not ready until 650 and our taxi did not arrive until 730. The delay of the breakfast was just unfortunate and not such a big issue, we just would have liked to enjoy it a little slower than we had to.... but the delayed taxi caused us a lot of stress at the airport as we almost missed our plane. This does not mean that we will not book again, on the contrary, but we will just book our taxi half an hour earlier next time. We just want to forewarn all the future travellers that this is something they may want to consider too... Apart from that, we would recommend anyone to stay at the Riad Tizwa as it is a very special place..... JP, Nienke, Paul and Sam

A very special place - lovely knowledgeable staff who are very helpful when needed but also know how to leave you to relax - and it is very relaxing: easy going yet thoughtful and delightful in the details - the black and brown tassels on the coffee and tea thermos's at breakfast, the white toweling hooded robes (the hoods with red tassels - there's a theme here somewhere!) and the rose petals scattered in the fountain in the courtyard. Thoroughly recommend.

  • Disliked — more storage / shelves for stuff
