I've stayed in numerous Marrakech riads and in most cases, the original building has been demolished and rebuilt as something that resembles a riad. At Tizwa, the original fabric of the building was retained and restored, and you can feel the difference. There's an elegant patina that much of the brash competition misses. It does mean that the stairs might be steeper, and the low door to the roof terrace has tried to kill me on a couple of occasions, but it's still worth it. Why accept anything less than the real thing?
The riad is also in a good location, and you can get a taxi and your luggage to within a few yards of the door - a rarity in any of the medinas.
It has a green, eco certification, which is nice, but I do wish that the lighting was more abundant.
